SYNOPSIS:
Kaitlin has been looking for a job for a long time. She is fed-up with the online-application process, which requires uploading your resume and then re-typing the very same information. She finally freaks. Has a nervous breakdown and takes three HR workers hostage at gunpoint. Kaitlin forces these hostages to go to her apartment, where she has set up the equipment to make them all apply and apply and apply for jobs on her behalf. As the day unfolds, Kaitlin gets creepier and creepier, doing things like loping off the HR workers’ hair. Perhaps the scariest scenes are when she takes off the makeup of the girls — because she resents how they can be both attractive and professional. The day wears on and on, with SWAT officers and detectives outside her apartment door, as well as her boyfriend and best friend. Her boyfriend is a successful lawyer who is very supportive of Kaitlin, but Kaitlin thinks he really looks down on her because of her job status. Her best friend plays a pivotal role in trying to talk Kaitlin back from the brink. Everyone is trying to bring this to a peaceful end. Eventually, through exhaustion and a core decency, Kaitlin releases the hostages and will now face the consequences of her actions.
