SYNOPSIS:
Marty is a sober, older, kind Vet without a home. A plumber, Eli, notices him in a homeless area of NYC one day and is drawn to him. Eli becomes friends with Marty and decides to try to get his buddies -- all of whom have a trade -- to build Marty a small house in Eli's backyard. Eli can't abide a 72-year-old man who served the country living on the streets. He convinces his buddies -- an electrician, a carpenter, an insulator, etc. -- to use their skills to build the house. One big problem: the Zoning Board, particularly the manager. The buddies decide to present their case to the Board by doing a rendition of the Village People -- since all are tradesmen, they can dance in line the way the Village People do. The presentation is a smashing success, and they build the house. Marty lives happily everafter. Note: There's a special-effects little light that appears throughout the film -- it represents love.
