In an attempt to find his place in his new life, a director who has recently been designated a terrorist and foreign agent accidentally destroys the lives of three women he loves — ultimately making them happy.

SYNOPSIS:

Theater director Makhov leaves his country because of the war, hoping to find refuge with his daughter, whom he abandoned twenty years ago. His pregnant daughter accepts him, but realizing he is disrupting her already fragile life, he moves in with his ex-wife Anna. Anna is happy in her second marriage, raising her daughter Sasha. Becoming close to Sasha, an actress in a children's theater, Makhov replaces the suddenly deceased director and stages a play — unaware that it begins to control his own reality. Outside the theater, he takes side gigs on porn sets, where he meets investors for his absurd business idea. When Anna catches her husband cheating, she spirals, loses her job, and, with Makhov’s help, joins a group of aging musicians as their new lead singer. Meanwhile, Masha gives birth prematurely, and Makhov — now a reluctant grandfather — is forced to grow up at last.
