A reckless young helicopter pilot in Vietnam, entangled in a covert CIA operation he never signed up for, must choose between silence and the truth that might cost him everything, including the woman waiting back home.
SYNOPSIS:
Mark Brady, a fearless 21‑year‑old helicopter pilot, arrives in Vietnam believing courage and skill will carry him through the war. Assigned as a Huey “Slick” pilot with his friend JJ, Brady is thrown into the relentless rhythm of daily missions, troop insertions, LRRP extractions where bad intel turns every landing into a gamble.
Under the guidance of Mason, a seasoned pilot carrying his own ghosts, Brady begins to see the war for what it is: chaotic and emotionally corrosive. Each mission chips away at him. Each casualty adds weight. The hooch becomes a refuge, the hospital a reminder of what the war takes, and the sky a place where fear and duty collide.
As the missions escalate and the intel grows increasingly unreliable, Brady’s confidence fractures. A disastrous operation pushes him to the edge, forcing a quiet, devastating confession - the truth he’s been carrying, and the guilt he can no longer outrun.
In the end, Brady returns to the sky changed. The war hasn’t shifted, but he has. A young man caught between who he was and who the war has forced him to become, all the while challenging his emotions for the woman he left behind.
