SYNOPSIS:

Carter White returns to Flagstaff for his sister’s wedding with Alton, his new boyfriend from law school. A morning hike places them on Mount Elden with Christian Reyes—Carter’s childhood best friend and former love, whose rejection of Carter’s public proposal ended their relationship two years earlier.

When nearby volcanic activity erupts into a regional catastrophe, the three men are trapped among collapsing roads, lava, ash, and a deadly lahar. As Christian repeatedly risks his life to protect Carter, old feelings resurface and Alton realizes their relationship has always contained a third person. Their fight to survive forces each man to confront what love requires when escape may come at an unbearable cost.
