When her son is falsely arrested for killing a cop, and allegedly commits suicide in custody, an Australian Aboriginal woman vows to hunt down and kill everyone responsible.
SYNOPSIS:
Widow and Brisbane publican Rosie Murray is rightfully proud of her two kids. Jonah’s the star of an Aboriginal dance troupe, but on tour through regional Queensland, he’s arrested for stealing a car and killing a cop, and allegedly commits suicide in a meth-induced frenzy. Rosie knows it’s all lies – again, just like with her husband – and vows that this time the bastards won’t get away with it.
Despite police harassment hampering her every step, and her daughter Alira stirring up even more trouble, Rosie uncovers the truth and corners the culprits. But fulfilling her vow would make Alira an accessory and ruin her bright future. Her time on country hearing ancestral whisperings has given Rosie a different perspective, and she finds the strength to rise above her pain and anger, to forgive. Only then does justice come, and finally bring her peace.
