About Paul

Paul Lynch is a filmmaker who shot the award-winning short JOHN KELLY TELLS ALL (Winner Best Film Milano Film Festival 2001) and directed the comedy BOARD. Paul also served as a scriptwriter on RTE's flagship soap FAIR CITY.

Filmmaking allows for social issues to be explored, and a passion of Paul's is tutoring others on all aspects of film. He has spent over twenty years making films and documentaries, featuring, and including, young people from disadvantaged backgrounds.

Paul has also produced, shot, edited and directed numerous music videos including RAZORBLADES AND ASHTRAYS (Winner of Best Music Video Underground Cinema Film Festival 2014).

In 2014 Paul directed AN BEAN SIDHE, based on Eoin O'Sullivan's award-winning script, and was the visual artist on the award-winning feature film AFTERDEATH (distributed by Icon Film Distribution) and co-edited the independent feature HARRY HAMLET AND I.

In 2016 Paul directed, shot and edited three short films, STATEMENT, CHIMERA and DIG (which he also wrote), and which was released as part of the horror anthology 60 SECONDS TO DIE, released by Sector 5 Films, in 2017, Paul wrote, shot, edited and directed COMING ATTRACTIONS featured in the U.S. release GRINDSPLOITATION 4: MELTSPLOITATION and was distributed by Troma Films.

Paul, and his writing partner Eoin O'Sullivan, are currently developing and producing an independent feature entitled NOWHERE, and recently completed the screenplay BANSHEE AWAKENING.

Paul also has been shot at by Colin Farrell and faked narcolepsy whilst flying a plane.

Paul's best co-productions are his children.
