Melody Schroeder

Melody trained at the University of East Anglia where she gained a BA ( Hons) in Drama. She went on to win a scholarship at the Birmingham School of Speech and Drama for her post-graduate year, and then won the William Poel Prize for Jacobean and Shakespearian Drama, which led her to play Juliet at Shakespeare's Globe, Southbank.

Some of the roles she has played include: Elizabeth Collier in 'Absolute Hell' ( Birmingham Rep,Sarah Esdaile,), Mary Boleyn' for the Tower of London and Hampton Court Palace,Hero in 'Much Ado About Nothing',(Cambridge Shakespeare Festival),Simonetta in 'Bonfires and Vanities'( New End) ,Lucy in 'The Rivals'(British Actors Theatre Company), and Kath in 'Where's your mama gone?'( New End theatre). She has performed in no 1 tours and performed Shakespeare at a variety of venues.
Melody has taken part in a selection of short and independent feature films also.​Television credits include Sally in Basil Brush and Justin lee Collins' comic girlfriend in Fat Nation ( BBC).
Recently she has appeared in a video for cult artist ,Beardyman, a voice over for a short film with Maureen Lipman, and appeared in the four star show 'And no Birds Sing' at the Brighton fringe. Melody is also a writer of comedy and scripts,as well as a performer, and was just recently invited to perform in the Actors centre Comedy Fix special event.
