Too much! I'm not the only one seeing elves and caves. I'm only on page 4 of 'the Blooded' so far. It's good! Your writing is very crisp & easy to read. It's a bit violent / graphic (my elf story is a children's fantasy). You should put in their size...I'm assuming they're almost human size (mine are really small, like, up to your calf high). On page 4, are the 'raiders' humans or other elves in the flashback? It's midnight here so I can't keep reading now...maybe next time I'm online. CHeers!
Thanks Sarah. Our concepts are much different. I'm depicting elves in a realistic version of the Dark Ages. There's a place for Tolkien, but it's not on my keyboard. Happy writing.
