I’m a Canadian screenwriter and development producer with seven feature screenplays and two pilots completed, across the genres of sci-fi, thriller, mystery, action, fantasy, history and drama.
Having worked as a general dentist, a human resource professional, a senior executive and a documentary producer throughout 20 years, I had the epiphany of my true passion of writing when I was 32, and it has become my mission to help others, through storytelling, to find their own voices, their true paths and fulfill their life missions.
My style is bold, and my voice is genuine. I am always drawn to creating mind-bending narratives that pose meaningful thematic questions and challenge the status quo mainly using science fiction and fantasy.
As a screenwriter, I effectively toggle between my left and right brains to ensure my work is both creative and commercially viable. I set realistic goals for myself, do meticulous research, plan ahead then let my creativity take the lead. When I re-write, I go back to my left brain and objectively criticize and dissect my work to ensure the maturity of the project. Having worked in strategic management roles in the past, I have a keen eye for commercial viability, marketing strategies and audience targeting.
As a development producer, I always complement my screenplays with script breakdown, preliminary budgets, pitch decks, look-books and even sizzle reels.
As a reflection of my personal tastes and influences, I enjoy writing across various genres, but my stories are always mind-bending and have a relatable theme, usually to do with larger existential themes such as fate, free will, equality and the human condition as a whole.
Unique traits: I also enjoy creating smiles and fixing crooked teeth :)
