SYNOPSIS:

: James Slater (29) has a surprise for his girlfriend Emmy Falconer (24). James makes a living delivering yachts all around the globe and he is taking her along on a job. Not only that, he is going to propose to her on the voyage. Along with his old school friend and crew mate Josh Van De Bilde (29) and his girlfriend, Kaitlin Kennedy (26), they have the task of sailing the luxury yacht from California to Hawaii. Surrounded by champagne, caviar and the seemingly endless electric blue ocean, they find themselves on the trip of a lifetime. However, one night they are caught in a tropical storm. When it passes they find all their GPS systems, tracking devices and means of propulsion have been destroyed. They cling to the fact that it must be impossible to be stranded at sea with all the technological advancements attached to modern sea-faring, so they wait to be rescued. And they wait. And they wait. As the days turn to weeks and desperation sets in, they learn of the ‘Custom of the Sea’ - it states that stranded seafarers should draw lots to see who will be killed and eaten so that the others might survive. The one who draws the shortest straw will be killed and eaten, and the one who draws the next shortest must be the executioner. Driven to the brink of madness through hunger, thirst and fear, paranoia and hallucinations begin to take over. Will they be rescued before they have to resort to this barbaric practice?
