Brian W. Armes earned a B.A. In Writing from Taylor University and an M.F.A. in Producing from The American Film Institute where he studied with D.C. Fontana (Star Trek) and Neil Canton (Back to the Future). Brian has directed short films, music videos, and stage productions. Additionally, he has overseen production, consulted, acted, and crewed on over 190 projects including short films, national commercials, web series, and independent features. He is currently in post-production on his first directorial feature, an adaptation of William Shakespeare's MACBETH.
Brian has taught filmmaking classes for schools across the country including Eastern Kentucky University and the Art Institute of Ohio – Cincinnati; he was most recently an Assistant Professor of Film and Digital Media at the University of North Georgia, teaching directing, acting, and producing. Many of Brian’s students have received regional awards, advanced film degrees, and employment in the film industry.
Brian has also directed and performed in various stage productions and musical ensembles. His feature noir screenplay, WATCH ME, was a Quarter-finalist in the 2016 Final Draft
