Here Lies is Official Selection film of ÉCU 2015, competing in European Feature section. A film about film-making and the struggles involved in the creative process: artistic, technical, financial and personal. Director Duncan Ward sets out to make a biopic about controversial artist Ernst Hellmann, notorious for his misogyny, his tortured female nudes, hell raising lifestyle, and mysterious demise.

A story of two young men who struggle to survive in harsh winter conditions as they fight the elements to get back home. Set during the present with the main character telling his epic story of survival through flash backs. This is based on a true life story that occurred during world war 2 and was filmed on location in Norway. It was shot on 16mm film and edited in Final Cut Pro.
