Karla Medina

I was born in 1985 and raised in a small town in Idaho. I graduated high school in 2004 and went onto college. When I found makeup and fell in love. I taught myself for a couple years and read any and all information I could find on the subject of professional makeup artistry. Being shy, my start in the industry has been slow. I am always learning and try to keep up with new products and technologies. I love challenging myself as an artist and am always practicing new techniques. I strive to give my clients quality work while maintaining high standards in hygiene as they are both equally important to me.

Soon after I discovered makeup, I was introduced to headdresses by an amazing artist. I fell in love again. I followed her work for a year until I decided I wanted to make my own creations. It took another year before I designed my first headdress. I am self taught in what I do. Every piece I create is an experiment and I learn something new with every single one of them. I strive for creative, fun, unique and well crafted designs. While the creative aspect is very important to me so is my workmanship. I see progress in every piece I make and that in itself is a satisfying experience. I know hard work will help get me where I want to go.
