About Darla

I always did extra writing for my teachers in grade school. Teachers were a lifeline for me. At home, no one paid any attention or cared.
Poetry came easily as a kid. I lived in a clamorous house --- turmoil, fighting, arguing non-stop. Pen and paper were my sole way of expression. I wanted no part of all that drama… and still don't.
I started writing fiction when my only brother died. It angers me how he put up with so much crap from people his whole life, starting with our mother. My latest screenplay centers around him.
Citing lack of cooperation to obtain the necessary research, I set it aside and wrote three other screenplays, two non-fiction books and one book of adolescent poetry.
Folks who write pour so much heart and soul into their work, it's a shame to see it sit idle. We can see it all vividly played out in our minds.

Two screenplays are more likely to be produced in animation.

Unique traits: I really love to rehab the properties which the majority of folks see as impossible. I love to buy, fix and sell these projects to completion, because I have control over the entire operation. There is no rejection.......
