Stephen Aristei

Mr. Aristei’s expertise in songs and music publishing garnered him the position of General Manager of the 2nd largest music publishing company in the world, Warner Bros. Music, a company whose management he participated in for over 12 years. While at Warner Bros. Music he created the position of “Film Music Liaison” to stimulate cooperative communication between the film company and the music publisher. This enabled the music publisher the opportunity to participate and influence the selection and hiring of composers, lyricists, songs and the over all use of music in the Warner Bros. Pictures film and TV productions. He participated in the research, music/song selection and licensing (music supervision), as well as the implementation of promotional campaigns for over 50 major motion picture scores and soundtracks. Through his international affiliate offices, he helped coordinate the promotional and marketing “team effort” of the Warner Bros. film, record and music companies in the international/territorial release of over thirty-five soundtrack albums. Throughout his career, he has managed and advised gold and platinum selling songwriters ( Richard and Donald Addrisi, Jimmy Petrick, Frankie Sullivan, Emit Rhodes), recording artists (Addrisi Bros. Steve March, Survivor, Biloxi, Cliff Wagner’s Ol # 7), artist managers (Rick Marcelli, Larry Marks) , record producers (Charlie Calello, Keith Olsen) and music supervisors, participated in the sale, purchase and management of independent record labels and music publishing catalogues(Warner Bros. Music, Curtom Records & Music, Al Gallico Music, Ash America Records). Produced over 200 concerts and special events, financed and “four-walled” films, and worked with and represented the music of such artists and writers as: America, The Addrisi Bros., Ashford & Simpson, The Band, The Bee Gees, Jackson Browne, Crosby, Stills & Nash, The Doobie Bros., Bob Dylan, The Eagles, Rod Stewart & The Faces, Firefall, Foreigner, The Four Seasons, Michael Franks, George & Ira Gershwin, Sammy Hager, Donny Hathaway, Curtis Mayfield, Van McCoy, Van Morrison, Cole Porter, The Pretenders, Jim Petrick, Frankie Sullivan, Billy Sherrill, Sylvester Stewart (Sly & The Family Stone), Glen Sutton, Allen Toussaint, Harry Warren, Jimmy Webb, Norman Whitfield, Norro Wilson, Yes and The Zombies. He has licensed hundreds of copyrights for dozens of uses and has been personally responsible for “placing” (obtaining a cover recording) over two hundred songs resulting in the creation of over fifty internationally successful copyrights and hit records.
