Alex Buckalew is a screenwriter. Born Texan and recovering New Yorker, she can currently be found butchering the German language in Berlin, Germany. Her one-hour pilot The Adventures of Buck Riley is currently a semifinalist in the Final Draft 2021 Big Break screenwriting competition. She has also collected several other prestigious accolades for her comedic short Alcohol Correct at international festivals including The Golden Script competition, Portland Comedy Festival, and Houston Comedy Festival, and her drama short Roses recently placed at Sydney Women's International Film Festival. When Alex is done working as a Senior Product Marketing Manger for an international tech company by day, she is focused on writing and developing diverse, female-lead one-hour dramas and features with an international focus.
