About Rebecca

Hi all,

My name is Rebecca and I have been a member of Stage 32 since 2014. I retired from my career in Retail as VP Creative Director and I plan to pursue screenwriting full time. I have submitted a couple of my screenplays and received encouraging coverage from Page, Scriptapalooza and A film Writer. I am a mentee with Chris Soth's Million Dollar Screenwriting. We started a script together which was fun and informative. I’m still working on it. Writing is rewriting and that is certainly true as I have rewritten that script many times over. Each time I learn something new. I was flabbergasted when I placed in Stage32 Family Friendly Screenplay Contest. Didn't progress to the next level but the recognition was thrilling..

In my retail career I directed many high fashion photo shoots in the US, Mexico and the Caribbean. I also concepted, wrote and directed commercial shoots in LA, Florida, Universal Studios and New York. I have worked with super models, well known photographers/directors and a couple of Hollywood Legends.

I am a southern girl, born in North Carolina, but have lived in twenty different cities to date. I attended Ringling College of Art & Design, Art Institute of Pittsburg and the University in Perugia, Italy. My interests, besides screenwriting, include film, reading, interior design, architecture, finance (right brain/left brain baby), travel and my cats.

I’m proud to be a Quarterfinalist in Stage32 Family-Friendly Screenwriting Contest!

Thanks for reading!

Rebecca

Oh. I traveled and lived in Ecuador, South America for a couple of years. An adventure to say the least.
