I have a long career as a freelance writer/director making TV programs and docos.
At the Australian Broadcasting Corporation, I was a Series Producer for seven years and managed a team of producers making television series and online content for broadcast in Asia and the Pacific through the ABC's international division. I series-produced more than 200 hours of television, created a range of programs and wrote and directed docos.
I have a PhD in Creative Writing.
My screenplay Let's Do Panga is based on my comic novel, Pangamonium, which was longlisted for the Commonwealth Book Prize. It was previously optioned by Mandala Films (now available) and I've adapted the novel for the screen. It received script development assistance from the South Australian Film Corporation.
I've won about 15 awards for creative work in writing or directing, including an AWGIE Award (Australian Writers Guild, affiliate of WGA).
