When a populist politician miraculously survives an assassination attempt, a world-weary detective and his too-smart partner uncover a covert AR system that can rewrite human perception. Hunted by MI5 and a ruthless tech syndicate, they must expose the truth before the entire country is turned into a weaponised audience.
SYNOPSIS:
When a populist MP survives a live-broadcast shooting, two mismatched detectives—analogue veteran Rufus Malone and plugged-in idealist Cameron Sol—are assigned the case.
Their hunt leads to Red Bird Technologies, creators of Britain’s best-selling AR glasses, Aucta Re. Hidden inside the product is Mind’s Eye, an experimental program able to manipulate perception itself.
As government liaison Arthur Jones moves to bury the investigation and Red Bird’s CEO pleads ignorance, the detectives uncover a rogue coder weaponising the system to push the country toward civil collapse.
In a nation spiralling into chaos, Malone and Sol must go rogue to expose the truth—before reality itself is rewritten.

A Buddy Cop movie with a mind-control conspiracy and hi-tech gear. This is going to be fun to watch, Ritchie Johnston!
Great job on the logline, but I suggest adding more to the stakes. Something like "before their families are turned against them and everyone becomes programmable weapons."
And here's another logline option: After a grizzled detective and his tech-obsessed partner uncover a mind-control conspiracy hidden in smart glasses, they go rogue to stop a digital takeover before their families are turned against them and everyone becomes programmable weapons.
