About Rick

Rick McCormick, author and screenwriter, is the seventh of ten children, he taught English in Japan and the U.S. He studied under some of the top screenwriting professors in the world, including Dr. Linda Seger, UCLA's Richard Walter, and Michael Hauge. He has written several full-length feature screenplays including Inside Out, You Can Take It With You, Nobody's Perfect, The Last Sand Granules, Everybody's Somebody, The Fifth Plane, A Dog Named Boo, The Last Goodbye, and Larry The Lifeguard. In March of 2018, he introduced his first novel, The Fifth Plane (Amazon), based on his screenplay of the same name. He is currently hard at work on The Fifth Plane television series. He resides in Newport Beach, California and hopes to meet the right person to bring his numerous projects and ideas to fruition.
