SYNOPSIS:

Mehkil Taylor is a descendant from a prominent banking family that was brought to ruin in the 1921 race riot of a 36 square block community called, "Black Wall Street". A community of 600 black-owned and operated businesses in the Greenwood District of Tulsa, OK. This story spins forward to 1993 -- The Red Brick City Housing Projects in Trenton, New Jersey. Taylor is raised here from childhood with a spirit of self-education that soon unleashes an entrepreneurial force that cannot be denied. In lieu of the drugs, guns and gangs that run rampant in Red Brick City, Taylor's mother has hopes of keeping him far removed from societies ills -- She shows him an alternate world through museums, libraries and Greyhound bus trips all through his adolescent years. Before long, Taylor is challenged with finishing college and fulfilling a dream of bringing change to Red Brick City. He soon graduates from Wharton School of Business with top honors, and within five years manages to reign over the present day financial industry with his own brokerage firm. Taylor soon finds himself in the middle of defending criminal charges and defining his legacy -- This is his story.
