Sol is an hour drama series full of dark humor about the dysfunctional Solano family who own a Latino Supper Club in LA's Echo Park. It's a show about family secrets and the struggle to break out of imposed roles. That struggle is centered around the family business, Sol. Sol was once a Hollywood hot spot where celebrities went to dine and dance. Its has since fallen into decline and is now a mediocre, but steady cash cow servicing the local business community. When Marta, the ambitious middle child, returns home from Berkeley she's determined to restore Sol to its former glory. There are only two things in her way, her father Papa Solano, and her cocaine addicted brother Eduardo, heir to the family throne. Papa is retiring and he's not about to turn over his bread and butter to a woman. Not even his own daughter. Marta is facing the challenge of her lifetime and what follows will be a paradigm shift that changes the entire family forever.
