SYNOPSIS:

Grace is a great girl, couldn't hurt a fly, but usually those who are harmless are the ones who are harmed. The upcoming week to Prom gets increasingly worse by each passing day until everything goes wrong. Her friend dies, another's arrested and she goes missing for the next course of days, who would've thought the last person you expect would be the one to do it?

INT. JONAH'S BASEMENT – MORNING

GRACE is waking up on a chair in the centre of a dark room with a small light bulb dangling above her head. She looks around to take in her surroundings and cries to move but when she tries she is hurt and discovers her hands and feet are tied down to the chair by barbed wire.

GRACE

(Shouting)

Help! Please, someone help me! Please anyone! Help! Help!

GRACE stops shouting to catch her breath while she dangles her head onto her chest staring at her feet and while looking at her feet a small beam of light opens up in the distance underneath a black sheet in front of her.

GRACE looks up to see a shadow of JONAH but can't identify his face. The man walks towards Grace and slaps her across her face and grabs her by her chin.

JONAH

(Can't be heard over the ringing of Grace's ears)

Shut the fuck up.

GRACE

(Whimpering)

Please... Please let me go, please.

GRACE is ignored and JONAH leaves back from the way he came, leaving her alone.

GRACE

(Shouting)

Please! Please...

GRACE looks down at her right bloody wrist surrounded in barbed wire and she begins to cry, making her head drop down to her chest.

INT. GRACE'S BEDROOM – MORNING

GRACE wakes up from her double pink sheeted bed. She gets out and stretches her body and then walks towards the mirror opposite her bed and observes herself.

GRACE begins pulling her fingers through her knotty hair, showing frustration as her fingers are caught and then leaves the room to run a shower in the bathroom.

CUT TO:

INT. GRACE'S BATHROOM – MONDAY

GRACE gets undressed and climbs into the shower and pulls the curtain over while she wets her hair and then covers her hands in conditioner and puts it all over her hair.

BACK TO SCENE:

INT. GRACE'S BEDROOM – MONDAY

GRACE returns to her bedroom with soaking wet hair and blow dries her hair in front of a mirror on top of her desk. While GRACE dries her hair she turns around and looks at her window as she thought she heard something but then turns back around and continues.

CUT TO:

INT. GRACE'S KITCHEN – MONDAY

GRACE walks into the kitchen where her mother is behind the kitchen counter placing a bowl of cereal down with milk beside it and her father is reading the newspaper on the chair besides it.

JOHNATHAN

Good morning Pumpkin

GRACE

Morning Dad

GRACE walks over to the chair beside him and pours the milk into the bowl and sits to eat.

GRACE

Thanks Mum

COURTNEY

That's fine Love.

COURTNEY is washing her hands after just washing the dishes.

COURTNEY

Are you looking forward to your prom? When is it now, a week?

GRACE

Six days, and yeah I am

COURTNEY

Have you and Jonah sorted out what you are wearing yet?

GRACE

Not yet, we're doing it either today or tomorrow.

COURTNEY

Have you booked the hair dressers yet? 'Cause otherwise you'll never get a place in there now.

GRACE

Mum, I can do my own hair. Most girls go there to get their make-up done by the people there, and you know I don't wear much make-up.

COURTNEY

Alright then, alright.

JOHNATHAN

Do you need a lift to school?

GRACE

Um, yeah, if you don't mind?

JOHNATHAN

I don't mind

(Looks at watch)

But we'll have to leave now.

GRACE

Oh, okay then, just let me get my things together really quickly.

INT. GRACE'S BEDROOM – MONDAY

GRACE runs up the stairs to get her school bag and notices that her hair dryer isn't where she left it on the desk. She picks up her bag and quickly runs back down stairs.

GRACE

Did you move my hair dryer?

COURTNEY

None of us have been up since you have hun

JOHNATHAN

(Shouting)

Come on, Grace!

GRACE

(Shouting back)

Coming!

CUT TO:

EXT. OUTSIDE OF GRACE'S SCHOOL – MONDAY

GRACE and JOHNATHAN are sitting in the car that just arrived outside of the school.

JOHNATHAN

Have a good day in school Grace.

GRACE

Have a good day in work, thanks for the lift.

JOHNATHAN

Any time, see you later.

Grace gets out of the car and waits for her Dad to leave before walking into the school.

CUT TO:

INT. SCHOOL CANTEEN – MONDAY

GRACE is walking towards a table in the canteen where all of her friends are sitting on.

DANNY

Hey Grace!

EVERYONE ELSE

Grace!

GRACE

Hi everyone

Grace sits down on the six person table on the left side, next to CONNIE and across from DANNY.

GRACE

What's the gossip? Anyone got anything?

CONNIE

Well, remember the new girl from last week?

GRACE

(Nods)

CONNIE

Well I brought her into the school gym and locked her in the supply closet! (Laughs)

GRACE

…That's not funny? How long has she been in there for?

CONNIE

Don't get your panties in a twist, she's only been in there for 10 minutes, I was gonna let her out after 4th period.

GRACE

4th period? You can't leave her in there for that long.

CONNIE

Oh c'mon Grace, you only feel sorry for her because the same thing happened to you when you first came to this school.

GRACE opens her mouth but doesn't say anything and then she sits silently while the school bell goes.

CUT TO:

INT. SCHOOL GYM – MONDAY

GRACE managed to get the keys from the teachers and opens the P.E supply closet and once it opened the doors ROSALINE runs out and wraps herself around GRACE.

ROSALINE

(Crying)

Oh thank you, thank you, thank you!

GRACE

It's okay!

GRACE grabs ROSALINE'S arms and gets them from around her and then ROSALINE looks up at her and then wipes her tears away.

GRACE

You okay now?

ROSALINE

(Nods)

CUTS TO:

INT. SCHOOL CORRIDOR – MONDAY

GRACE and ROSALINE are walking through the corridors alone.

GRACE

Just ignore those other girls that put you in there, they're just a bunch of bullies.

ROSALINE

Don't you hand around with them though?

GRACE

I do, but I'm not like them.

ROSALINE

Oh I know, you're nice. You wouldn't lock me away in a dark room...

GRACE

(Giggle)

No I wouldn't.

GRACE takes a closer look at ROSALINE

GRACE

What year are you in anyway?

ROSALINE

The one just below you.

GRACE

Really? Wow.

ROSALINE

You mean because I'm small?

Oh don't take it that way, I would love to be smaller. Most boys prefer small girls.

ROSALINE

(Smiles)

ROSALINE stops outside of a classroom door.

ROSALINE

Oh okay then. Remember, just ignore those girls.

GRACE turns and walks away from ROSALINE and just as ROSALINE is about to go into her class she stops and looks back at GRACE and smiles before walking into the class.

INT. GRACE'S TUTOR ROOM – MONDAY

Sorry sir I was just--

TEACHER 1

I have no time for excuses Grace, just take your seat.

GRACE obeys and sits on the chair in between CONNIE and DANNY

CONNIE

So what kept you?

GRACE

CONNIE

Oh my God you let her out didn't you?

(Crumbles paper and throws at Grace)

In the distance behind GRACE the classroom door opens and ALEX enters.

ALEX

ALEX walks away from the teacher and over to CONNIE, GRACE and DANNY, pulling a chair over from another table to sit with them.

ALEX

Hey guys, what's happenin'?

CONNIE

Not much, why were you late this morning?

ALEX

Just had to bribe my way into getting a hair appointment for Prom night, they said there were no spaces, but they made one available.

CONNIE

Oh right, has your dress arrived yet?

ALEX

Not yet, should be tomorrow otherwise we get to complain and get it for free postage.

CONNIE

(Laughs and then turns to GRACE)

Are you still shopping for your dress after school with Chloe?

GRACE

Yeah I am.

CONNIE

Do you have any idea of what you want?

GRACE

DANNY

How did you convince them to let Jonah come? I thought they said that they wanted everyone to be from this school this year?

GRACE

They did but I talked it over with them and they said he can come. Can't go on my own now can I?

DANNY

Even if you didn't have a date, I'd go with you.

ALEX

Oh listen to him, always taking any opportunity to try and get into Grace's pants!

DANNY

ALEX and GRACE laugh together and then the school bell rings and everyone begins standing up to leave the room.

CUT TO:

EXT. SCHOOL TENNIS COURT – MONDAY.

Everyone is in their P.E kit and are on the tennis court. GRACE is playing with DANNY while CONNIE and ALEX are sitting on the side lines on their phones.

CONNIE

Look at little Grace, how can she enjoy this sport? It's so pointless.

ALEX

I know, it's just hitting a ball back and fourth. Danny seems to like her playing with his balls though.

CONNIE and ALEX laugh as the camera goes over to GRACE and DANNY, hitting the ball back and fourth.

DANNY

C'mon Grace, they are so not your crowd.

GRACE

They are, we're just... different.

DANNY

Yeah, completely. You need to hang out with people who actually give a shit and actually like you, y'know, my people.

GRACE

Your people?

DANNY

Okay so they're not “my people” but they're more our crowd than they are yours, or mine. I'm just here because I'm looking out for you.

Yeah, yeah.

DANNY

No seriously, when you first started hanging out with them I thought they were going to bury you in a ditch somewhere, it was weird how they just started wanting you to hang out with them.

(Laughs)

GRACE hits the ball and DANNY misses it, allowing her a point.

GRACE

(Jumps)

EXT. SCHOOL FIELD – MONDAY

It's lunch time and DANNY, CONNIE, ALEX, and GRACE are sitting on the field eating when JONAH comes up behind GRACE and places his hands over her eyes.

JONAH

Guess who?

GRACE

Jesus Joe, you scared the crap out of me!

JONAH

(Sits beside Grace)

How is everyone?

Everyone replies positively

DANNY

How're you?

GRACE

So how come you're here? Don't you have your own school to attend?

JONAH

Yes but it's lunch time and I thought I'd surprise you, which obviously worked.

GRACE

CONNIE

… So Jonah, looking forward to Prom?

JONAH

Uh yeah, even if it isn't at my school, I'm fine coming here.

GRACE

CONNIE

You got your suit ready?

JONAH

Damn right, lookin' smart and ready for the only night it'll ever be used.

GRACE is waiting outside of the school when CHLOE comes through the doors.

Oh hey Chloe, you still up for shopping for my prom dress?

CHLOE

Sure am, was thinking about about getting myself one as well.

GRACE

Really?

They both begin walking away from school along the path.

GRACE

I thought you weren't going?

CHLOE

Well maybe I've changed my mind.

GRACE

Is there a boy you like?

CHLOE

(Smiles)

GRACE

Oh my God there is a boy! Have you asked him? Or did he ask you?

CHLOE

No, neither of us have asked yet.

CHLOE

EXT. STREET TO THE DRESS STORE – MONDAY

They get out of Chloe's car and begin walking to the store.

GRACE

Where were you all day anyway? You weren't in the canteen this morning and you weren't on the field at break or lunch?

CHLOE

I know, I know, I was in the library, still got an exam to study for.

GRACE

Oh I know, two days before right?

CHLOE

Nope, it's on the day.

GRACE

Really?

CHLOE

Yeah, I know.

They both stop outside of the store.

GRACE

Well here we are. After you (Opens door)

CUT TO:

INT. THE DRESS STORE – MONDAY

The two of them are trying on several different clothes while the scene is SPED UP and eventually they both choose their dresses and go to the til to pay.

GRACE

How long did that take?

CHLOE

Little over an hour

GRACE

Really?

WORKER

Take it from me, that's fast for most girls that have came in here recently.

GRACE

(Laughing)

Oh right.

WORKER

That'll be £129.99 for yours and £149.99 for the little blue head's.

CHLOE

The two of them leave the store after paying and CHLOE goes to walk to her car.

I've gotta go, I'll see you tomorrow.

GRACE

CHLOE

INT. GRACE'S HOUSE ENTRANCE – MONDAY

GRACE has the dress over her left arm while she enters into the house.

GRACE

(Shouting)

Mum, Dad, I'm home!

COURTNEY

(Excited)

Oh, show me the dress, show me the dress!

GRACE unzips the dress and hands it over to COURTNEY where she displays it in front of her and takes a look.

COURTNEY

Oh I love it already, and I haven't even seen you wear it yet.

GRACE

Thanks Mum, I'm just gonna take it up.

COURTNEY

Alright hun.

INT. GRACE'S BEDROOM – MONDAY

GRACE enters into her bedroom and hangs up her dress back in the seal on it's hanger in the wardrobe and then sits on her bed behind her and looks at the dress.

INT. GRACE'S BEDROOM – TUESDAY

GRACE wakes up from her bed again and then goes over to her desk to do her hair but can't find her brush.

(Quietly to herself)

Where did I put that brush?

INT. GRACE'S KITCHEN – TUESDAY

GRACE walks into the kitchen where her mother pours the same cereal as last time.

GRACE

Where's Dad?

COURTNEY

Oh he had to go to work early this morning.

GRACE

How am I going to get to school on time, I thought he'd be here.

COURTNEY

You have friends, phone one and tell them to take you, use your phone for an actual reason for once.

GRACE sits down and puts a spoonful of cereal into her mouth as she gets out her phone and scrolls through her contacts to see who would give her a lift until she saw DANNY'S name and so she texts him.

FADE OUT:

EXT. SCHOOL PARKING LOT – TUESDAY

GRACE and DANNY get out of his car.

GRACE

Thanks for the lift

DANNY

Any time.

GRACE and DANNY begin walking along path towards the school.

DANNY

So have you thought about hanging out with us again instead of that other crowd?

GRACE

Technically at the moment YOU are the 'other crowd'.

DANNY

C'mon Grace, you stick out like a sore thumb with all of them, you don't belong there.

GRACE

Like I said, we're different, but we're still good friends.

DANNY

I know but... Ah, just forget it.

GRACE goes to apologise but hears someone behind them.

CUT TO:

EXT. BEHIND GRACE BESIDE THE SCHOOL – TUESDAY

ROSALINE hides behind the wall that GRACE previously looked at but was unable to see her.

BACK TO:

EXT. STREET TO SCHOOL ENTRANCE – TUESDAY

DANNY

I saw the dress that Chloe got, I thought she wasn't going?

GRACE

She said that she changed my mind because of a... Wait, how did you see it?

DANNY

She put a picture up on Instagram.

GRACE

Oh right... You stalking her Instagram now?

DANNY

What? Any way, what were you saying?

GRACE

She changed her mind because of a boy, but she wouldn't tell me who.

DANNY

Really? Someone asked her?

GRACE

Oh no, or not yet. I think she's going to ask if he doesn't, if he was going to he's left it al little late, 4 days before prom.

DANNY

Yeah I guess

GRACE and DANNY turn to the right and turn into the school

CUT TO:

INT. SCHOOL CORRIDOR – TUESDAY

GRACE

Have you got your suit sorted out for prom?

DANNY

No not yet, I was going to go with Jonah after school on the day.

GRACE

Why are you leaving it so late?

DANNY

Because it's easier that way, only wearing it for one night, so I might as well get it sorted on the day, that way the way that the people in the store help me put it on, I can wear it like that to the prom.

I guess it seems logical. Wait, hasn't Jason already got his suit?

DANNY

Yeah, but he said that he'll go with me anyway.

GRACE

Oh that's nice of him...

DANNY

Yeah...

CUT TO:

EXT. SCHOOL LIBRARY – TUESDAY

GRACE walks into the school library and finds CHLOE sitting at one of the tables and goes over to her.

GRACE

(Places hand on CHLOE'S shoulder)

Chloe!

CHLOE

(Startled)

Jesus Grace, you scared the shit out of me.

GRACE

Good, you gonna tell me who the boy is yet?

CHLOE

Shush, do I really have to?

GRACE

(Sits next to CHLOE)

Yes you do, I need to know, it's killing me.

CHLOE

INT. ENTRANCE TO LIBRARY – TUESDAY

DANNY is standing at the entrance with a bouquet of flowers in his hand and he looks around the room until he sees CHLOE and so he runs to her.

BACK TO:

INT. SCHOOL LIBRARY – TUESDAY

DANNY knells down beside CHLOE, CHLOE holds her cheeks to hide her blushing cheeks.

DANNY

Chloe, will you be my date to the prom?

DANNY then pulls her hand and kisses it.

DANNY

Chloe Radford, will you go to the prom with me?

CHLOE

(Excited)

Yes, yes!

Everyone in the library starts clapping in celebration for them both as DANNY gets up off his knee and gives CHLOE the flowers.

GRACE

It was Danny? Danny was... Is the boy?

CHLOE

(Nods)

DANNY

I was too scared to ask you incase you said no but Grace told me that I had left it late enough as it was.

GRACE

(Surprised)

1. was completely oblivious that you were going to ask Chloe, Daniel. I can't believe this, this is amazing!

CHLOE

I'm so happy that you asked, I was too afraid to ask you.

DANNY

Well in my eyes it's the boy's job to ask anyway.

GRACE

Oh this is great, are you two a couple now?

DANNY

I don't know, do you want to go out with me?

CHLOE

(Excited)

Of course I do, you idiot!

CHLOE gets up and hugs DANNY while he hugs her back.

INT. SCHOOL CORRIDOR – TUESDAY

GRACE, CHLOE and DANNY are walking while CHLOE and DANNY are holding hands as they are meeting up with CONNIE and ALEX who are walking towards them.

CONNIE

(Surprised)

What's this?

GRACE

(Announcing)

May I present our newest couple; Danny and Chloe!

ALEX

Wow! That's a great surprise!

CONNIE

(Regretfully)

Yeah, a surprise alright...

GRACE

Aren't they just adorable together? You should've seen how he asked her to the prom it was just unforgettable. I wish Jonah could have done something like that.

ALEX

Well now I'm looking forward to prom even more.

CHLOE

Have you got a date to prom Alex?

ALEX

Nah, but I'm not bothered. I'll just get with someone at the after party!

DANNY

(Laughing)

Good old Alex!

EVERYONE laughs as they continue back down the corridor when CONNIE turns and notices ROSALINE shortly following behind, hiding behind objects as she followed.

CONNIE

I think someone here has acquired a stalker.

EVERYONE looks at CONNIE and then she points behind them and when they turn around they notice ROSALINE approaching but then going behind a wall.

GRACE

Rose? Is that you?

CLOSE ON the wall that ROSALINE is hiding behind and she reveals herself slightly.

GRACE

What are you doing over there? Come here

ROSALINE comes over nervously and stops in front of GRACE, avoiding eye contact with CONNIE or ALEX

GRACE

Danny, Chloe, this is Rosaline. Connie and Alex have already met her.

CHLOE

It is very nice to meet you, I like your skirt.

ROSALINE

(Quietly)

Thank you...

CONNIE

C'mon, the bell will go any minute.

GRACE

Okay, see you later Rosaline!

CHLOE

JONAH turns up in his car outside in front of GRACE.

JONAH

GRACE gets in the car and JONAH drives them away.

CUT TO:

EXT. THE ROAD – TUESDAY

GRACE and JONAH are in the car.

GRACE

So you're taking Danny to get a suit?

JONAH

Yeah, he tell you?

GRACE

Yeah, he asked out Chloe today.

JONAH

Oh did he?

GRACE

Yeah, did you know he was going to? Did he say anything about it to you?

JONAH

He told me about a week ago tat he was thinking about asking her to go.

GRACE

Why didn't you tell me?

JONAH

Because, would you have been as surprised as you were today when you saw what he did? I assume you were surprised.

GRACE

I was very surprised and I guess that's true. Why couldn't you do anything like that for me?

JONAH

Because I don't need to, we've been going out for 2 years, of course we're going to the prom together.

GRACE

(Mumbling)

JONAH

INT. GRACE'S FRONT ENTRANCE – TUESDAY

GRACE and JONAH enter through the door when COURTNEY comes through and meets them both.

COURTNEY

(Surprised)

(Disappointingly)

Oh, you brought Jonah.

GRACE

Yeah why, what's up?

COURTNEY

Your Dad's in work tonight and I'm going out with the girls until late so you've got the house to yourself, or selves.

Alright Mum, when are you going?

COURTNEY

I'm going in about two hours, so I'll be able to make your dinner by then, don't worry.

GRACE

(Looks at JONAH)

GRACE and JONAH go upstairs.

CUT TO:

INT. GRACE'S BEDROOM – TUESDAY

The two enter GRACE'S room and sit down on her bed.

JONAH

So what're you doing once your mum leaves?

GRACE

We can watch a film or something downstairs if you want?

JONAH

Sure. Could you put the tv on please?

Sorry about that, I can't find the remote, I'm losing everything lately.

JONAH

You need to keep an eye out on where you put your things, have you retraced your steps at all?

GRACE

Don't have to, everything I'm losing never leaves this room.

JONAH

Strange, maybe your cat is taking it all?

GRACE

I didn't think about that actually, we'll have a look later once mum is gone.

JONAH places his arm around GRACE as they both begin watching tv.

INT. GRACE'S DINING ROOM – TUESDAY

GRACE and JONAH are eating at the dinner table when COURTNEY comes down the stairs all dressed up.

COURTNEY

(Shouting in a rush)

I'm leaving now Grace, I'll leave out a key for you, don't be up too late!

GRACE

I won't, are you out all night?

COURTNEY

Maybe, not sure, I'll be here in the morning though.

GRACE

Alright then.

COURTNEY

Anyway I'm going, see you later. I'll lock the door on my way out.

GRACE

COURTNEY gives GRACE a kiss on the cheek before leaving from the kitchen and out the main entrance.

INT. GRACE'S FRONT ROOM – TUESDAY

JONAH sits on the couch and turns on the tv with the remote when GRACE sits down beside him.

GRACE

What film do you want to watch?

JONAH

Go ahead and put anything you want on, I don't mind.

GRACE

Alright, I'll go upstairs and see what films I have.

GRACE leaves couch.

GRACE searches through her dvd rack beside her desk looking for a film when she notices 2 packs of condoms on the desk counter with a letter beside it then CLOSE UP when she picks it up.

INT. GRACE'S BEDROOM – TUESDAY

After it is read out GRACE crumbles up the note and throws it into the bin beside her desk and takes the condom out the room.

INT. GRACE'S PARENTS BEDROOM – TUESDAY

GRACE walks in and puts the condom in there and looks through JOHNATHAN'S dvd rack until she picks one and leaves with it.

INT. GRACE'S LIVING ROOM – TUESDAY

GRACE comes down the stairs, puts the dvd in and sits next to JONAH with the remote.

INT. GRACE'S LIVING ROOM – TUESDAY

GRACE and JONAH are sitting on the sofa with one of his arms around her shoulder and another on her stomach as they're watching the film. JONAH slowly begins sliding his hand up GRACE'S chest but GRACE moves his hand back down to her stomach. JONAH then tries to lower his hand to her pants.

GRACE

(Pushing his hand away)

No Jonah, stop it

JONAH

(Offended)

GRACE

Because I don't want to yet.

GRACE stands up from the sofa and JONAH sits up.

JONAH

(Annoyed and offended)

Well then when will you? We've been together for two years now and nothing, we hardly even kiss, I barely feel like we're in a relationship.

GRACE

If you want more kisses then I'll give you more kisses but that's it. I don't like the idea of the physical part of a relationship yet.

JONAH

JONAH picks up GRACE'S house keys from the side and uses them to open the door and then puts the keys back and leaves the house. GRACE then picks back up the keys and locks the door and walks away.

EXT. OUTSIDE OF GRACE'S HOUSE – WEDNESDAY

GRACE is walking out from her house and gets into DANNY'S car and just as she closes the car door behind her the phone goes off.

JONAH (V.O)

I'm sorry about walking out last night, I was being stupid and selfish, forgive me? I love you.

GRACE

(Sigh)

DANNY

Everything okay?

GRACE

Yeah... fine.

EXT. SCHOOL FIELD – WEDNESDAY

GRACE, DANNY, CHLOE, ALEX and CONNIE are sitting where they did the previous day. CHLOE and DANNY have their arms around each other while GRACE, ALEX and CONNIE sit on the left side of them.

ALEX

So who's coming to the after party at Lewis's?

EVERYONE

(Everyone replies saying that they are attending)

ALEX

Good because I was wondering whether any of you were actually going.

CONNIE

I think our whole year is going to his house?

ALEX

Really?

CONNIE

Yeah, I even heard some of the nerds talking about going.

ALEX

Oh, entertainment!

CONNIE and ALEX laugh.

ALEX

(Nudging Grace)

GRACE

Oh nothing, just stuff with Jonah.

ALEX

GRACE

He... He kept trying again last night.

CONNIE

He's desperate bless him! I don't see why though, it's not like you lead him on or anything.

GRACE

ALEX

GRACE

GRACE looks behind her and in the distance is JONAH getting out of his car and heading over to them so GRACE gets up and leaves the friend group in a opposite direction.

EXT. OTHER PART OF FIELD – WEDNESDAY

GRACE is walking away and JONAH follows quickly to catch up with her.

JONAH

Grace! Grace!

GRACE doesn't answer and so JONAH grabs her arm to gain her attention.

JONAH

Grace!

GRACE

(Shouting)

Get away from me Jonah!

JONAH

Oh c'mon Grace, I apologised. It was a stupid and immature thing to do and I shouldn't have been doing what I was in the first place.

GRACE

Yeah you admit to all of that now and you'll admit to the exact same thing when you do it again.

JONAH

I won't do it again.

GRACE

You say that every time Jonah

JONAH

Grace I promised I won't try and do that again, okay? I promise for as long as I love you.

GRACE

Fine, but this is your last chance Jonah, okay? I'm done with this shit, it's getting old.

JONAH

I understand.

The two of them stand silently for a moment while Grace stands with arms crossed.

GRACE

I'm going to the cinema after school with Chloe and Danny so don't bother showing up to pick me up.

JONAH

Alright. You sure you don't want a lift there or anything.

GRACE

Jonah just... please stop. I don't want to see you at the moment, I need to calm down before I end up doing something I'll regret.

JONAH

Alright, I get it. I'll see you tomorrow then. I love you?

GRACE stands silently with her arms crossed avoiding eye contact so after a few seconds of silence JONAH walks away leaving GRACE on her own. She begins crying and walks off camera.

INT. GIRL'S TOILETS – WEDNESDAY

GRACE comes out one of the cubicles after crying and washes her face and after doing so she opens the bathroom door to leave.

INT. GIRL'S TOILETS CORRIDOR – WEDNESDAY

GRACE walks out pretty fast and DANNY was walking past the door when she bumps into him.

GRACE

Sorry Danny!

DANNY

It's fine. Oh, there you are Grace! We've been looking everywhere for you, what happened? We saw Jonah leave minutes after going after you?

GRACE

Nothing new, just... the same old apologies.

DANNY

(Examines GRACE's face)

GRACE

(Nods)

DANNY

GRACE accepts DANNY's hug and she places her head against his shoulder trying not to cry. The camera pans over to the left where CHLOE is watching them hug each other and she looks concerned but pretends to know nothing when she walks over and the camera follows.

DANNY

(Stops hugging)

I'll be fine

DANNY and CHLOE are waiting outside of school for GRACE and are wandering around with DANNY'S eyes on his watch.

INT. SCHOOL LOCKER ROOM – WEDNESDAY

GRACE is seemingly alone at her locker getting some things out and packing them into her bag when she hears a noise behind her. GRACE turns around and sees a shadow coming from behind the wall leading out of the locker room. GRACE goes to investigate and when she turns the corner ROSALINE is standing there and is shocked when GRACE comes over.

GRACE

(Confused)

Rose? What are you doing?

ROSALINE

Nothing, sorry I was just waiting for you.

GRACE

Really? What for?

ROSALINE

I was... Uh, waiting to see whether I could walk home with you, I live a few streets away from you.

GRACE

Oh right, well I'd be fine with that but me and my friends are going to the cinema today.

ROSALINE

Oh okay, that's fine...

GRACE

Hey, why don't you come with us?

ROSALINE

No, no, no, no that's fine.

GRACE

Oh c'mon, after a fright like that I think I owe you.

ROSALINE

But I... I don't have any money and I don't really get along with your friends.

GRACE

Don't worry it's just Danny and Chloe, they're really nice.

ROSALINE

GRACE and ROSALINE walk out of the school entrance and meet up with DANNY and CHLOE

Sorry I went to the lockers. Don't suppose you mind if I bring Rose do you?

CHLOE

Of course not, there's enough room in the car and definitely enough room in the cinema!

GRACE

GRACE turns around to ROSE.

GRACE

C'mon, at least I'm not third wheeling any more!

ROSALINE

Yeah, I'll be your date for the evening!

They all laugh and ROSALINE laughs awkwardly along with them and then they all start to get into DANNY's car.

INT. CINEMA WAITING LOUNGE – WEDNESDAY

While DANNY and CHLOE are going through the food at the food part of the cinema GRACE and ROSALINE are over in the arcade centre playing a monster shooting game with the controllers being guns.

GRACE

(Shouting)

Over there, over there!

ROSALINE

(Shouting)

I've got them, get him quickly!

GRACE

(Shouting)

I'm reloading!

DANNY

C'mon you two the film is about to start!

GRACE

(Shouting)

Damn it, go in without us and get some seats in the middle, we'll be there in a minute!

DANNY and CHLOE go into the viewing room while GRACE and ROSALINE stay playing. They continue for a little later until they both die on the game.

(Checks watch)

Crap, we're better than I thought. If we go now we MIGHT just get in there before the adverts stop.

EXT. MAIN ENTRANCE OF CINEMA – WEDNESDAY

DANNY, CHLOE, GRACE, and ROSALINE all leave the laughing and putting their rubbish in the bins before going to the car park to find DANNY'S car.

That film is hilarious!

DANNY

What did I tell you? Adam Sandler never disappoints!

GRACE

I've got to agree with him there, he's like my favourite actor. Did you enjoy the film Rose?

ROSALINE

Yeah, it was awesome!

DANNY

EXT. CIRCLING AROUND STREETS IN CAR – WEDNESDAY

DANNY

(Driving)

Where did you say you live Rose?

ROSALINE

Yeah, I only live a couple of streets away it's fine.

DANNY pulls the car over to the side of a street and ROSALINE gets out.

(Getting out of car)

DANNY and CHLOE drive away leaving GRACE and ROSALINE alone together.

The two walk until getting to the end of the street then stop.

ROSALINE

This is my street, I live just down there.

GRACE

Alrighty then, nice and close to my house as well! We should walk to school together tomorrow, if you want?

ROSALINE

Yeah, I'd love that!

GRACE

Great, I'll see you tomorrow then at 8 o'clock sharp outside of my house, do you know where I live?

ROSALINE

I know the street, I'll just walk down and see which house you're outside of.

GRACE

ROSALINE starts walking down the street looking over her shoulder every few seconds until she sees that GRACE is out of sight and then she starts running.

INT. GRACE'S FRONT ROOM – WEDNESDAY

GRACE enters into the house where she sees JOHNATHAN sitting in the front room watching tv.

GRACE

(Shouting)

Mum, Dad, I'm home!

JOHNATHAN

Y'alright hun, have a good day at school?

Yeah it was fine.

JOHNATHAN

What did you go and watch at the cinema?

GRACE

(Forgetfully)

Em... Ah, I can't remember what it was called but Adam Sandler was the man role...

JOHNATHAN

Was it Click or anything like that?

GRACE

No, it was a new one, just in the cinema's.

JOHNATHAN

Oh right, well I'll have to go watch it myself some time, was it good?

GRACE

Yeah me too, anyway, your tea is in the microwave, I'm just going to the shop for a minute, you want anything?

Nah I'm okay, let me just go drop my things off upstairs and I'll come back down for my tea.

GRACE enters her bedroom and drops off her school things on the floor near the door and carefully placed her bracelet down on her desk.

GRACE comes down from upstairs and puts microwave on for 2 minutes. While she waits she goes over and waits with her mother who just sat down on the sofa to watch tv.

GRACE wakes up and gets out of bed and goes for another shower.

INT. GRACE'S BATHROOM – THURSDAY

GRACE is in the shower and when she goes to get her conditioner she used last time it isn't there. GRACE pops her head out of the shower.

(Shouting)

No reply.

GRACE

GRACE got back in the shower and used the shampoo instead.

INT. GRACE'S BEDROOM – THURSDAY

GRACE is drying her hair with the hair dryer and brushing it at the same time with her mum's brush. GRACE looks away from the mirror over to the side of her desk and notices that the bracelet is gone.

GRACE runs into the kitchen where JOHNATHAN and COURTNEY are in their usual places.

(Annoyed)

This is annoying me now, I don't want to point fingers but someone is taking or moving my things.

Why what's gone missing now?

GRACE

Well this morning I couldn't find my conditioner so I just had to use shampoo and now my bracelet is gone.

COURTNEY

Oh Grace, that was really expensive.

GRACE

I haven't lost it! Someone is moving or taking them because I know for a fact that last night when I told Dad I was taking my things up stairs I carefully placed it on the side of my desk for today.

JOHNATHAN

Well who would be taking your things in this house? It's only us living here and if you can't find them in this house well then... They're not here.

GRACE

EXT. GRACE'S BACK GARDEN – THURSDAY

GRACE opens the door and goes into garden and kneels down beside JUDITH, the cat, on the grass. GRACE starts stroking the cat.

GRACE

Hey Judith, don't suppose you've been sneaking into my room at night and been taking my things have you?

JUDITH

(Meows)

(Sigh)

Yeah, I don't see why I thought this would work.

GRACE pulls out her phone from her back pocket and checks the time and sees that it's 8.10am and that she was late to meet ROSALINE. She rushes back into the house.

GRACE closes her door behind her and sees ROSALINE standing at the end of her walk way to her house and once she sees her she quickly runs over to her.

GRACE

Sorry about that, I completely lost track of time, I was busy this morning.

ROSALINE

The two of them start walking down the street.

GRACE

I thought you said you didn't know exactly where I lived?

ROSALINE

I don't, I was just looking around for you and I stopped outside of your house, very convenient.

GRACE and ROSALINE both walk into the canteen together and walk towards the same table as last time where CONNIE, ALEX, CHLOE and DANNY were sitting.

GRACE sits down on the end chair and ROSALINE pulls up at seat to sit next to her, instead of sitting on the only available sit next to CONNIE.

Hey Grace, I heard that Lewis is having a little party for before AND after Prom! Obviously the before party is today, are you gonna go?

GRACE

Alright I'll go. (Turns to ROSALINE) Do you want to come Rose?

ALEX and CONNIE are sitting beside each other on their own not doing their work but sitting casually.

The other students in the class give ALEX weird looks as she shouted but then returned to doing their work.

GRACE is observing herself in the mirror after getting ready for the party. Beeping comes from outside and GRACE runs over to the window and sees DANNY and CHLOE in the car. GRACE grabs her purse and heads down stairs.

GRACE gets her best shoes on.

Okay mum, I'm going now!

COURTNEY

Alright then hun, have fun, don't be back too late, you're going to be out all tomorrow night.

GRACE

GRACE runs over to the car and they all cheer as they drive away towards the camera.

EXT. ROSALINE'S STREET – THURSDAY

CONNIE and ALEX are sitting in the car outside of the house.

(Excited)

I can't believe we're going to do this.

ALEX

This'll crush her little heart and keep her away from us once and for all!

CONNIE

After they changed places in the car ALEX beeps the horn alerting ROSALINE

INT. ROSALINE'S FRONT ENTRANCE – THURSDAY

ROSALINE is standing near the door looking through the window looking at the car, with her father MICHAEL behind her.

MICHAEL

You look beautiful.

ROSALINE

Thanks Dad

MICHAEL

You sure you're going to be okay?

ROSALINE

I'm sure, I might be back a little late.

MICHAEL

That's fine with me hun, as long as you have fun.

ROSALINE

ROSALINE leaves her house and gets in the back of the car and as MICHAEL waves her away they drive.

EXT. FOREST – THURSDAY

ALEX, CONNIE and ROSALINE pull up in the middle of the woods along a path.

ALEX

We're here!

CONNIE

Woo!

ROSALINE

(Looking around)

Are you sure this is the place?

ALEX

Yeah! We must just be early, like we said, we didn't know when it was starting.

All three get out of the car and begin following ALEX into the forest.

CUT TO:

EXT. FURTHER INTO FOREST – THURSDAY

All three are continuing to follow ALEX through until ROSALINE stops and they look back at her.

ROSALINE

This doesn't feel right.

ALEX

What do you mean?

ROSALINE

… Are you sure this is the place?

ALEX

Yes, it's just a little bit further. You can walk in front if you want?

ROSALINE walks in front of them both and continues the way that ALEX was until it leads towards a mossy pond and so she stops, looking at it.

ROSALINE

What th-

ALEX pushes ROSALINE into the mossy pool and she screams until splashing in until she finally resurfaces.

ALEX

Maybe that'll teach you to stay the fuck away from our friends, and mainly, from us! Stay with the crowd of yourself you freak! C'mon Con.

ALEX and CONNIE quickly run back to the car leaving ROSALINE.

ROSALINE

(Pleading)

No, no wait! Please don't leave me out here on my own!

ROSALINE gets out of the pond and tries to chase after them, shouting and begging them to not leave her there.

ROSALINE loses her way and starts crying, continuing to shout for them to come back.

CONNIE and ALEX get back in the car and drive away laughing to themselves, driving away back up the path.

At the party GRACE looks around until she finds CHLOE and DANNY together on a couch and stands in front of them.

Upon arrival they see that JONAH'S car is parked outside of GRACE'S house.

GRACE gets out of the car and walks over to JONAH

GRACE walks inside and immediately COURTNEY comes running down the stairs to her.

All students are working, showing multiple students working hard until stopping and zooming in on GRACE who is looking very stressed while doing so.

INT. CORRIDOR OUTSIDE OF HALL – FRIDAY

All students are leaving the hall including GRACE, CHLOE and DANNY but they're not together in the crowd. DANNY is last to leave and after the doors are locked but then he remembered that he left his bag inside.

DANNY

Excuse me, could I have the key to the hall for a minute? I've just left my bag in there.

TEACHER

Alright Dan, just bring it to me in my lesson because I need to go quickly.

DANNY

Okay, thanks Ms.

DANNY unlocks the door and enters back into the hall alone.

INT. EXAM HALL – FRIDAY

DANNY goes to where he was sitting retrieves his bag but at the end of the hall behind the curtains he hears a noise.

DANNY

Hello? No one is supposed to be in here.

With no reply again DANNY goes over and behind the curtains and behind them were props and so he started walking through them.

DANNY continues through until he is pushed against the wall by JONAH (who remains unseen throughout the entire scene) and is kicked and beaten to death against the wall. JONAH spits on his body and exits the curtains.

GRACE is waiting outside of the office when CHLOE exits from the office.

The hall door is locked by JONAH who is still anonymous to the viewers due to camera angles and he walks away.

JONAH is followed from behind through the corridor until he arrives outside of a classroom.

INT. CLASSROOM – FRIDAY

JONAH knocks loudly and fast on the class door starling the TEACHER.

With no reply TEACHER walks over to the door where she looks through the corridor and sees that no one is around. She goes to close the door and then notices that the hall keys are hanging from the handle.

GRACE is waiting outside for either DANNY or ROSALINE to walk home with but with no one turning up she walks away.

EXT. STREET – FRIDAY

GRACE is walking alone home until JONAH pulls up beside her in his car and GRACE stops.

GRACE gets in the car and JONAH continues to drive.

GRACE

JONAH pulls over outside of a shop.

GRACE gives JONAH a hug and he gold on, then they finally let go.

GRACE gives JONAH a quick kiss on the cheek before exiting the car and JONAH drives away. Once JONAH exits off screen GRACE enters the store.

GRACE enters through the front door.

(Says with a reassuring smile)

I'm fine, just need to get a shower and get myself ready now.

No, I'm not going to be sitting in my Prom dress for hours. I'll start getting ready at 6, that leaves me 2 hours to get ready.

(Excited)

GRACE

Me neither! Anyway, I'm going to get some hours sleep before I have to get ready.

INT. GRACE'S BEDROOM – FRIDAY

GRACE wakes up by her phone alarm and quickly gets her new conditioner and out of her school bag and goes into the bathroom.

GRACE returns with a towel wrapped around her and her hair up in a towel after her shower and she sits to dry her hair.

Once her hair is dried GRACE walks over and retrieves underwear from her draw, places them on from underneath her towel and then goes to her wardrobe where the dress is hanging and she smiles in admiration.

CUT TO:

INT. GRACE'S STAIRS – FRIDAY

COURTNEY and JOHNATHAN wait eagerly at the bottom of the stairs for GRACE when she comes down and they admire her, COURTNEY gasps and JOHNATHAN photographs her descend.

COURTNEY

(Almost in tears)

JOHNATHAN

GRACE

(Blushing)

The door bell rings and GRACE opens the door where JONAH is standing.

JONAH and GRACE stand at the bottom of the stairs together and wrap their closest arms around each other while JOHNATHAN took several photographs.

JONAH and GRACE walk out and get into JONAH'S car, waving goodbye to COURTNEY and JOHNATHAN as they drive away.

INT. PROM HALL – FRIDAY

JONAH and GRACE enter through the main entrance to see everyone at the Prom, dancing, drinking and speaking to other students and teachers. As they walked through admiring all the dresses GRACE hears crying slightly underneath the music and leads JONAH out into the corridor beside it where the girl's toilets are.

GRACE

JONAH

CUT TO:

INT. GIRL'S TOILETS – FRIDAY

GRACE enters and hears a girl crying pretty loudly from one of the cubical and so she knocks on the door.

CHLOE

(Crying)

GRACE

Chloe?

CHLOE opens the cubical door and sighs in relief to see GRACE and she throws herself around her, continuing to cry.

CHLOE

(Sobbing)

He didn't show up... He stood me up...

GRACE

Danny isn't here?

CHLOE

(Sobbing)

No... I think he used me to just try and get closer to you... and because it didn't work, he didn't bother with me any more...

GRACE

GRACE turns CHLOE around to the mirrors on the wall above the sinks.

Everyone at the Prom are having fun; dancing like mad to the right paced music, sharing laughs and drinks provided.

CHLOE, JONAH and GRACE sit at a table until a slow song comes on and JONAH stands up in front of GRACE.

GRACE stands up and takes JONAH'S hand and they walk onto the dance floor and begin slow dancing just like everyone else. GRACE rests her head onto his chest. Once the song is finished they kiss each other then head back over to CHLOE.

CHLOE

Are you sure?

GRACE

JONAH and GRACE enter the kitchen where LEWIS is serving out drinks to people while having a girl wrapped around him.

LEWIS

(Shouting cheerfully)

JONAH

Lewis!

JONAH and LEWIS spend little moment doing a handshake between them.

LEWIS

How're you kids tonight? Having fun I hope?

JONAH

Well we only just got here but I'm sure after a couple more minutes and a couple of drinks we'll be having the time of our lives!

LEWIS

True that, lemme get you started up quickly

LEWIS goes in his fridge which is filled with beer and he pulls out 4 of a 6 pack and places them in front of GRACE and JONAH.

LEWIS

JONAH

JONAH and GRACE take their drinks and leave the kitchen.

CUT TO:

INT. LEWIS'S LIVING ROOM – FRIDAY

The sofa is filled with empty cans around them and they're both drunk, GRACE waving around finding it hard to stay still with her hands all over JONAH while he remains pretty calm.

JONAH

Do you wanna go upstairs?

GRACE

(Drunk)

Sure!

JONAH grabs GRACE'S hand and helps her up but then GRACE leads him up the stairs.

CUT TO:

INT. LEWIS'S UPSTAIRS – FRIDAY

Once upstairs they look around for what room to go into but one has a tie over it, indicating it's 'in use' so they go in the one across the hall from it.

CUT TO:

INT. LEWIS'S BEDROOM – FRIDAY

GRACE sits down on the bed and JONAH then sits directly next to her.

GRACE

So what d'ya wanna do?

JONAH

I think you know...

JONAH leans over and starts kissing GRACE'S neck to try and seduce her and she looks like it's working.

GRACE

(Panting)

Jonah, you know I don't want to...

JONAH

(Still kissing)

INT. LEWIS'S DOWNSTAIRS – FRIDAY

Downstairs a police OFFICER enters through the main entrance.

OFFICER

Where is Alex Williams?

BOY

She's upstairs I think but you can-

The BOY is ignored by the OFFICER while he walks upstairs.

CUT TO:

INT. LEWIS'S UPSTAIRS – FRIDAY

The OFFICER arrives upstairs and sees that there's a tie on one of the doors so he assumes she's in there. He knocks first.

BOY

(Panting)

We're busy!

OFFICER kicks the door through and inside ALEX is having sex with the BOY on top of him and they throw the covers over themselves.

BOY

What the fuck?

CUT TO:

INT. LEWIS'S BEDROOM – FRIDAY

JONAH is still kissing GRACE when she pushes him away and stands up.

GRACE

(Distressed)

No Jonah, I don't want to.

JONAH

Don't you like that? Or would you rather I did something else?

GRACE

Jonah please stop, I think you've had a little too much to drink...

JONAH

(Seductively)

Oh no baby, I'm completely sober, and I know what you want and I know what I want, now let's share what we want together.

JONAH goes over to GRACE and tries up undo her dress from behind.

GRACE

(Shouting)

Fuck off Jonah!

GRACE slaps JONAH and he holds his face where she just hit him. After wiping away the little bit of blood that came from his mouth he punches GRACE in her face, knocking her against the wall and then she falls down on the ground unconscious.

BACK TO:

INT. LEWIS'S OTHER ROOM – FRIDAY

The OFFICER grabs ALEX and tries to pull her dress back up.

OFFICER

You have been accused guilty of the crime for kidnapping a young girl last night and will be brought back to the station with us.

The OFFICER drags her out of the room.

CUT TO:

INT. LEWIS'S BEDROOM – FRIDAY

JONAH throws GRACE over his shoulder and opens the door, looking around before exiting. Once out he looks down the stairs and sees that everyone is outside.

CUT TO:

EXT. OUTSIDE OF LEWIS'S HOUSE – FRIDAY

The police OFFICER just handed Alex over to his college in the car who remains in there while the OFFICER goes back to the students following him out the house.

OFFICER

Now listen, I don't care if it's your Prom night, your music is far too loud. Now you've refused to turn it down on my way out so he party's over and I want all you kids outta here!

LEWIS

Oh shut up pig.

OFFICER

What did you just say?

CUT TO:

INT. LEWIS'S FRONT ENTRANCE – FRIDAY

JONAH walks quietly down the stairs and walks around the back.

PAN TO:

INT. LEWIS'S FRONT YARD – FRIDAY

JONAH runs around the back and while everyone is distracted, and LEWIS is being arrested, he runs across the road to his car and puts GRACE in the back, gets in and drives away.

FADE OUT:

INT. JONAH'S BASEMENT – SATURDAY

GRACE is waking up on a chair in the centre of a dark room with a small light bulb dangling above her head. She looks around to take in her surroundings and cries to move but when she tries she is hurt and discovers her hands and feet are tied down to the chair by barbed wire.

GRACE

(Shouting)

Help! Please, someone help me! Please anyone! Help! Help!

GRACE stops shouting to catch her breath while she dangles her head onto her chest staring at her feet and while looking at her feet a small beam of light opens up in the distance underneath a black sheet in front of her.

GRACE looks up to see a shadow of JONAH but can't identify his face. The man walks towards Grace and slaps her across her face and grabs her by her chin.

JONAH

Shut the fuck up.

GRACE

(Whimpering)

Please... Please let me go, please.

GRACE is ignored and JONAH leaves back from the way he came, leaving her alone.

GRACE

(Shouting)

Please! Please...

GRACE looks down at her right bloody wrist surrounded in barbed wire and she begins to cry, making her head drop down to her chest.

She starts to look around her to see where she is and several items of furniture and boxes are on top and next to each other all around her, leaving only the small entrance that JONAH came through.

GRACE looks over to her right where she looks at herself in the long standing mirror, where she could see her stained face, along with her brush, conditioner and other accessories she had been losing on the floor in front of it. GRACE looks more over to the left and two of her dresses are hanging there also.

JONAH enters with GRACE'S hair dryer, straighteners and curlers.

GRACE

J-Jonah? What is this? Why are you doing this?

JONAH

(Ignores)

Sorry I was out all night, I was just trying to make you feel at home.

JONAH kneels down in front of GRACE.

JONAH

Awr, look how dirty your dress is, and how bloody your face is...

GRACE

Jonah?

JONAH

I think it's time you cleaned yourself up, don't you?

GRACE

Wh-what?

JONAH

C'mon.

JONAH un-hooks the barbed wire with a clamp from GRACE'S wrist and then tears her dress apart off her, GRACE struggles but is too weak to do anything, and she is left naked other than her underwear.

CUT TO:

INT. JONAH'S SHOWER – SATURDAY

GRACE is crying underneath the shower while JONAH stands close behind looking at her naked body. GRACE attempts to wash herself with her hands but turns to JONAH.

GRACE

Please Jonah, let me g-

JONAH turns her back around and puts conditioner in his hand, interrupting her as she continues to cry and he rubs the conditioner in her hair.

CUT TO:

INT. JONAH'S BASEMENT – SATURDAY

GRACE is sitting naked in front of the mirror with her legs up in front of her chest and feet together, JONAH is being her drying her hair with the hair dryer. He turns it off and he brushes and straightens it for her until it was done, and then he left and returned with one of the dresses hanging up without saying anything.

GRACE stands up and puts the dress on and once it's on JONAH turns her around to look in the mirror while he remained behind her with his head over her shoulder.

JONAH

See? Don't you think you look a lot better now?

GRACE

(Nods shamefully)

JONAH sits GRACE back down on the chair and she struggles to stop him as he puts the barbed wire back around her so he tries to calm her down.

JONAH

Shush, it's okay, it's okay.

GRACE

Jonah, please let me go, let me go home.

JONAH

I can't do that Grace

GRACE

Why? Why not?

JONAH finally gets the barbed wire around her wrists and he does the same with her ankles, hurting her as it's tightened.

GRACE

(Shouting)

Let me go!

JONAH

Shut the hell up!

JONAH kneels down in front of GRACE and places his hand on hers.

JONAH

(Calmly)

From now on, no more screaming and shouting okay?If I catch you doing it again, I'll do more than just slap you.

GRACE

(Begging)

Just tell me why you're keeping me here like this.

JONAH ignores and exits the basement.

WIPE TO:

INT. GRACE'S LIVING ROOM – SATURDAY

COURTNEY and JOHNATHAN are downstairs on the sofa, JOHNATHAN watching tv and COURTNEY searching through her phone messages.

COURTNEY

Where d'ya think Grace is?

JOHNATHAN

You said that she doesn't have a time to come home, she probably spent the night at Chloe or Jonah's or something, maybe even at where the party was.

COURTNEY

Well she could've text or called us to tell us that she wasn't coming home at all. I'll phone her.

COURTNEY stands up from the sofa and walks into the kitchen after dialling.

CUT TO:

INT. JONAH'S BEDROOM – SATURDAY

GRACE'S phone rings in JONAH'S back pocket while he lies on his bed, he gets it out and sees that COURTNEY is ringing. JONAH puts the phone on silent and puts it into his draw.

BACK TO:

INT. GRACE'S KITCHEN – SATURDAY

COURTNEY puts the phone down.

COURTNEY

Voicemail? Oh Grace, so unreliable with phones.

COURTNEY dials another number and puts it by her ear again.

STACEY

(Over phone)

Hello?

COURTNEY

Hi Stacey, it's Courtney. I was just wondering whether Grace had came back to your house last night with Chloe? If Chloe has came back that is.

STACEY

(Over phone)

No Grace didn't come back bt Chloe is in bed upstairs, do you want me to go wake her?

COURTNEY

Oh no don't wake her up bless her, but when she wakes up could you ask her whether she knows?

STACEY

(Over phone)

Of course, yeah I'll do that.

COURTNEY

Okay thanks, speak later.

STACEY

(Over phone)

Bye!

COURTNEY hangs up and scrolls through her contacts until she sees JONAH'S number and she swipes to call.

JONAH

(Over phone)

COURTNEY

Hi Jonah, it's Courtney. Is there any chance that Grace is with you? Or you know where she is?

INT. JONAH'S BEDROOM - SATURDAY

JONAH

Um no, sorry. We both left the party around one-ish and I went home, I assumed she did the same why, has she not turned up?

COURTNEY

(Over phone)

No she hasn't, I was hoping you knew where she was.

JONAH

Oh I don't sorry, I'll try calling her and finding out where she is then I'll phone you back.

COURTNEY

(Over phone)

Okay thanks Jonah.

JONAH

JONAH puts the phone down.

JONAH

INT. GRACE'S LIVING ROOM – SATURDAY

COURTNEY returns.

COURTNEY

Can't get a hold of her and she's not with Jonah or Chloe.

JOHNATHAN

Don't worry, she's probably with Alex or Connie or someone like that, she has plenty more friends she couldn't stayed the night at.

COURTNEY

Alright well I'm gonna wait a little longer and if she doesn't start answering her phone then I'm gonna call the police.

JOHNATHAN

The police? C'mon Courtney it was Prom last night, they'll be hung over with their faces on the floor! They were dancing all night, and I bet that's just where Grace is. Don't be so haste.

COURTNEY

Oh I wish I was as calm as you are.

CUT TO:

INT. GRACE'S FRONT ENTRANCE – SATURDAY

Close-up on clock on the wall saying 8pm and then panning over to the front door after OFFICER knocks on from behind it and COURTNEY answers.

OFFICER

Hello Mrs Lloyd, may we come in?

COURTNEY

Of course, come in.

COURTNEY and the two police OFFICER'S walk through into the dining room where the camera pans until they sit down.

OFFICER

Okay, so to my understanding you called under a missing child?

COURTNEY

It was Prom last night so my daughter went there and then to a party afterwards, but I haven't seen or heard from her for just over 24 hours.

OFFICER

Have you tried contacting her at all?

COURTNEY

I've called, text, I've called her friends and her boyfriend.

OFFICER

And none of them have seen her since last night?

COURTNEY

Not since about 1 they said.

OFFICER

Alright Mrs Lloyd, we'll have a look around for her. Where was the prom?

COURTNEY

It was at the Honour High School

OFFICER

Okay, starting tomorrow we'll start looking for clues there and at the party to find out where she went to afterwards.

COURTNEY

Tomorrow? Why tomorrow, she could be hurt or kidnapped or anything!

OFFICER

Mrs Lloyd please, you've left it until very late and if she was say passed out somewhere we wouldn't even be able to find her, and we can't go waking loads of people up and then for it to turn out they know as much as the people you've asked.

COURTNEY

But...

OFFICER

Don't worry Ms, we will find your daughter, well station some police at each end of the city for tonight incase we see her leaving, well check all cars.

COURTNEY

Okay...

OFFICER

Thank you for your time Mrs Lloyd, we'll be going now.

COURTNEY

Okay, thank you.

COURTNEY sees the OFFICERS out and once they're gone she closes the door and begins to cry against it.

CUT TO:

INT. LEWIS'S HOUSE – SUNDAY

Police are all over the house with cars parked outside and officers out on the grass while the rest search the house for traces of her.

INT. PROM HALL – SUNDAY

Police are searching the Prom hall (which is also the exam hall) and one of the OFFICERS goes behind the curtains and looks through until he sees DANNY'S legs in the distance. He goes through further before saying anything but then he identifies it as a body.

OFFICER

(Shouting)

We have someone here!

All other police officers run to him quickly and they open up the curtains to see DANNY'S body up against the wall.

CUT TO:

INT. HEAD OFFICE – SUNDAY

OFFICER is sitting across from HEAD TEACHER and the HEAD TEACHER has photographs given to him of DANNY'S body.

HEAD TEACHER

Daniel... His name is Daniel Massey. Where did you say you found him like this?

OFFICER

We found him behind the curtains of the Prom hall, we expect that he was killed before the Prom started since he's not dressed up for it.

HEAD TEACHER

Well this must've happened on the morning before then because he was supposed to come here to settle something with the police, but he disappeared before we could question him.

OFFICER

Do you have any idea what could have encouraged this? Or anyone who would've done this to him?

HEAD TEACHER

As far as I knew Danny didn't have any enemies, everyone in the school loved him, he was one of those 'popular' kids y'see.

OFFICER

Well then maybe it was someone outside of school? What incident happened that day that he had to speak to the police about?

HEAD TEACHER sits there wide eyed as he sits.

CUT TO:

INT. POLICE INTERROGATION GAME – SUNDAY

MICHAEL is handcuffed to the desk with the OFFICER sitting across the table with another in the corner of the room.

MICHAEL

(Shouting)

Murder? Now why the hell would I murder someone?

OFFICER

Well on the day of the murder you were verbally abusive towards the pupils within the group, one of them being the victim, and it is believe that you had threatened them as well.

MICHAEL

I might have threatened them and spoken to them like shit but I had my reasons, but I didn't have any reasons to kill them, so I didn't!

OFFICER

Well no matter what you say, you have to admit that this all does look awfully suspicious.

MICHAEL

It may, but you can't go accusing!

OFFICER

(Accusing)

You had an outrageous behaviour, then you threatened them and was escorted off the premises by the police, though you weren't taken home, just off the property. You could have easily came back in to the school and took out one from that group while they were alone and vulnerable!

MICHAEL

It wasn't me! You can ask my daughter, I was home less than 20 minutes after I stormed out of the school!

OFFICER

Alright enough! We'll have to see whether we got any camera footage of other people going into the hall because we don't have any camera's actually in the hall.

MICHAEL

You do that and while you're at it, check the cameras outside which will show me walking away from the school after the police dropped me off at the end of the road.

OFFICER

We will be in touch Mr Tarren.

MICHAEL

Damn right we will be, now get me out of these handcuffs!

MICHAEL struggles to get out of the cuffs.

CUT TO:

INT. SCHOOL CAMERA ROOM – SUNDAY

CLOSE-UP on camera screen that shows MICHAEL leaving the school premises and not returning then ZOOM-OUT to the HEAD TEACHER and police OFFICER standing and watching the screen.

HEAD TEACHER

Well it wasn't him then, the killer must have already been waiting inside of the hall. Waiting for him.

OFFICER

Didn't you say that there was an exam in there before hand?

HEAD TEACHER

Yes there was.

OFFICER

Are you sure that all students left the hall? Or have you checked the ones that didn't show up? Because maybe they did show up but they didn't do the exam, they hid in the curtains instead, then lured him in.

HEAD TEACHER

I'll be sure to have a look, we'll have to get in a bunch of witnesses from yesterd-

OFFICER

(Interrupting)

Hold on, who's that?

The OFFICER points at another tv screen ZOOM-IN and it shows JONAH (Still anonymous) locking and leaving the hall, wearing the black hoodie with hood up and he walks away.

HEAD TEACHER

I think we just found our killer. Let's see where he's going.

CLOSE-UP on following JONAH on the cameras until he drops the keys off at the class and walks away.

OFFICER

I think you're right, we need to get in all students from the exam, all the teachers that were in the hall including the teacher who gave him the keys, and anyone else with a close relationship to him, friends with him, partners, parents, everyone. You think you can do that?

HEAD TEACHER

I'll get everyone in tomorrow.

FADE OUT:

INT. OUTSIDE OF HEAD OFFICE – MONDAY

Parents, students and friends are gathered in the waiting area looking around and chatting among each other confused. A student leaves the office and an OFFICER follows him.

OFFICER

Chloe Lane!

CUT TO:

INT. HEAD OFFICE – MONDAY

CHLOE is sitting across from the OFFICER sitting on the opposite side of the desk. He clicks the play button on the recorder and begins.

OFFICER

Can you say your full name and age out loud for me please.

CHLOE

My name is Chloe Lane and I am 16 years-old.

OFFICER

Thank you, do you know why you are here today Chloe?

CHLOE

No I don't

OFFICER

Well it was believed to be that you and Daniel Massey were in a relationship recently were you not?

CHLOE

We technically still are but I haven't seen him in a couple of days, why?

OFFICER

Well... This is going to be hard for you to hear but... Daniel was killed on the day of Prom.

CHLOE

(Devastated with tears in eyes)

OFFICER

Danny is dead...

CHLOE

(Crying)

OFFICER

We only found his body yesterday.

CHLOE

(Crying)

OFFICER

I know that you're not in the best state at the moment but you have to answer some more questions for us before you can leave. Do you think that you can do that?

CHLOE

(Sniffs)

OFFICER

(Hands CHLOE a tissue)

Right, do you know whether Daniel ever had any enemies of any sort? Anyone you know that would have wanted to do this to him?

CHLOE

(Trying to stop crying)

No I don't have a clue... The only person he has had any conflict with lately is Jonah Cooke, but that was just a silly brawl...

OFFICER

(Checking list on desk)

Jonah Cooke? He's on this list. What happened between the two of them? When was it and was it ever sorted out?

CHLOE

Jonah must have been drunk or something and he was shouting at Grace so Daniel tried to stop him, he hit him, and then Danny took him down and when he let go of him, he left.

OFFICER

Was there ever an apology? Was it ever sorted out?

CHLOE

No, at least not as far as I'm concerned. He definitely sorted it out with Grace since they went to Prom together later that night.

OFFICER

Okay thank you for all your time Chloe, you've been a lot of help.

CHLOE

(Nodding and beginning to cry again)

CHLOE is lead out of the office by the OFFICER.

OFFICER

Jonah Cooke!

JONAH hears his name and walks towards the office and sits where CHLOE was with the OFFICER across from him, and he hits play.

OFFICER

JONAH

Jonah Alan Cooke and I am 17 years-old.

OFFICER

Thank you, do you know why you are here today Jonah?

JONAH

(Shaking head)

Nope.

OFFICER

Well I believe that you were close friends with Daniel Massey up til recently, is that correct?

JONAH

Yeah why, something happened?

OFFICER

Well yesterday the body of Daniel was found beaten to death in the back of the hall, and was suspected to have happened before the Prom.

JONAH

Oh god...

OFFICER

Now you wouldn't happen to know anything about this would you?

JONAH

How would I know anything?

OFFICER

Well because we heard that you and Daniel had a fight recently and that it was never sorted out, so that leads us to suspicious thoughts.

JONAH

What, you think that I did that?

OFFICER

We're not suggesting anything at this moment Jonah, we just want to know whether you know anything about what happened in that hall that day.

JONAH

Well how would I know? I don't attend this school mine is a 20 minute drive away from here so how would I know anything?

OFFICER

Okay calm down it was just a question. So didn't it worry or affect you on Prom night that he wasn't around?

JONAH

Well not really no. The only way it affected me was because his girlfriend was crying in the girl's toilets because she thought that he stood her up, so she spent the rest of the night with us and we went around thinking that he was being a dick for blowing her off.

OFFICER

Okay, so is there anything else that you can tell us about this incident?

JONAH

No I'm afraid, you'll have to ask someone else that is closer to him.

OFFICER

You mean like Grace Lloyd?

JONAH'S eyes widen when he hears her name.

JONAH

Yeah.

OFFICER

Have you spoken to or heard anything from Grace since Prom night?

JONAH

Well no, we had an argument just before so I thought she was still pissed at me, why?

OFFICER

Because if you weren't aware, she went missing that night.

JONAH

(Surprised)

What?

OFFICER

Grace hasn't been seen or heard from since that night, where you were expected to be one of the last people to see her.

JONAH

Well maybe I was, but we saw each other off from the party, I couldn't drive her home because I was drunk and so we both walked opposite ways.

OFFICER

Alright then, that's all we needed from you, you may go now. Thank you for your time.

The OFFICER stops the recording and stands to let JONAH out.

JONAH

(Standing)

Well what about Grace? Aren't the police looking for her?

OFFICER

We're doing the best we can, but we found Daniel while looking for clues yesterday so we thought that we should concentrate on this for the time being.

JONAH

But she's out there somewhere, do you not even have any leads at all?

OFFICER

Well unless she was driven out of town on Prom night she is still in the town because we've had police at each end of the city checking cars since yesterday.

JONAH

Well if you find out anything could you contact me immediately? Please?

OFFICER

Don't worry we will.

CUT TO:

INT. JONAH'S KITCHEN – MONDAY

JONAH walks in and slams the door behind him and goes into his kitchen.

JONAH

(Throws everything off the counter)

Fuck!

How the hell did they find him so fast? I can't fucking believe this!

JONAH punches the wall.

CUT TO:

INT. JONAH'S BASEMENT – MONDAY

GRACE sits listening to the carnage upstairs and then JONAH storming down the stairs until he throws up the sheet and approaches her.

JONAH

I can't believe this, already they're searching everywhere for you!

(Takes a deep breath)

But it's okay, because they don't have any leads at all, and I don't think they suspected anything from my little 'I don't know anything' act today.

Silence between them.

GRACE

Find who Jonah? Who did they find?

JONAH

...Could you hear me from up there?

GRACE

How couldn't I? Who did they find?

JONAH

Your fucking friend Danny!

GRACE

Where was he? … What did you do?

JONAH

I fucking killed him alright? I killed him after the exam and hid him behind the curtains!

GRACE

(Tearing up)

Oh my god... Why? How could you?

JONAH

Because he was a prick and the less people you had with you at that after party, the easier I thought it'd be to seduce you but no, you're still resistant!

JONAH kneels down in front of GRACE

JONAH

Okay, you got me. The reason I have taken you is because I'm sick of all of your games. Last night you led me on too much and I lost it. You know that I've been wanting you for the last three months now and you've just ignored it!

GRACE

Are you crazy? You don't kidnap someone because they wont have sex with you! Especially when it's your girlfriend! I don't want it yet, I told you!

JONAH

Then why the hell did you lead me on like that? You took my hand and led me upstairs into one of the rooms and sat down on that bed ready for me.

GRACE

I didn't know what I was doing, I didn't realize that you wanted to go upstairs to do that. Also you tried to get me drunk as hell so I wasn't really thinking correctly in the first place.

JONAH

Well I don't care, I'm going to tell you this now. You have three days to accept me and we can have it like a normal couple. And if you don't by Thursday then I'm going to fuck you on this cold hard ground and I won't hold back, and I won't care if I hurt you. Do I make myself clear?

GRACE begins to cry and look away.

JONAH

Do I make myself clear?

GRACE

Fine, yes!

JONAH

Alright then. Now, can I get a kiss?

GRACE nods so JONAH kisses her and leaves the through the sheets but pauses as GRACE goes to speak.

GRACE

If we do it, if I let you take me upstairs and take my virginity, will you let me go home?

JONAH

It depends how much I trust you. Goodbye.

JONAH leaves and GRACE sits back against the chair and tries to stop herself from crying.

ROSALINE walks to the table where everyone usually sits but only CHLOE and CONNIE are there.

ROSALINE

Where is everyone?

CONNIE

Haven't you heard about anything?

ROSALINE

No, what's happened?

CONNIE

Weren't you called into school yesterday.

ROSALINE

No, my dad was but I wasn't, what happened?

CONNIE

(Soppy voice)

Danny was found dead an-... Grace is missing whil-... Alex is in custody

ROSALINE

What?

CHLOE

Someone killed Danny and took Grace... And Alex is in custody for what she did to you!

ROSALINE

Does no one know where Grace is?

CHLOE

ROSALINE

What about her boyfriend? Wasn't he with her all night?

CHLOE

He was but they walked home separately.

ROSALINE

ROSALINE turns from the group and runs back the way she came.

CHLOE

(Shouting)

EXT. SCHOOL ENTRANCE – TUESDAY

ROSALINE runs from the school and runs to screen left.

CUT TO:

EXT. STREETS – TUESDAY

Several scene CUTS of ROSALINE running through streets until she arrives at JONAH'S street.

EXT. OUTSIDE OF JONAH'S HOUSE – TUESDAY

ROSALINE goes to knock on his door but hears JONAH'S voice from behind the house. She goes around and looks in the garden but sees nothing but then she notices that there are windows near the bottom of the house where the basement was, but one of the windows were open. ROSALINE poked a whole through the black paper over the windows and looked in.

P.O.V where she can see GRACE and JONAH feeding her a bowl of soup with a spoon.

ROSALINE

(To herself)

GRACE!

She sits there until the bowl is empty, JONAH kisses GRACE on her forehead and leaves. ROSALINE opens the window more and climbs through onto all of the furniture behind GRACE. She emerges and approaches GRACE.

ROSALINE

(Whispering)

Grace!

GRACE

Rose? Thank god, how did you find me?

ROSALINE

I came as soon as I heard something happened to you and I heard JONAH speaking from the front garden.

GRACE

Can you get me out of here?

ROSALINE

Maybe, but you must be quiet!

JONAH is heard coming down the stairs.

GRACE

(Whispering)

Quickly, go hide!

ROSALINE runs and hides behind the furniture where she could still watch over them.

P.O.V JONAH comes through the sheets angry.

JONAH

(Shouting)

Who the hell were you talking to?

GRACE

(Calmly)

What do you mean?

JONAH

(Shouting)

You were talking to someone!

(Checks GRACE'S clothes)

Have you got another phone or something?

GRACE

How could I be talking to someone on my phone while my hands are bound to this chair!

JONAH

(Frustrated)

I know you were talking to someone, I could hear you!

GRACE

I think you're being a little paranoid...

JONAH backhands GRACE across her face.

JONAH

(Shouting)

Don't bullshit me! Are they in here with you!

JONAH begins throwing the furniture around looking for ROSALINE but he can't find her, though he was close then walks around GRACE.

JONAH

(Shouts)

Fuck!

JONAH catches his breath and tries to calm down and leaves the basement. ROSALINE emerges and walks back over to GRACE.

GRACE

Are you okay?

ROSALINE

Yeah, he just threw something on my head. Are you okay?

GRACE

Fine, I'll better if you can get me out of this chair.

ROSALINE takes a look at her bloody wrists and ankles.

ROSALINE

I don't know whether it'd be able to get through without wire cutters.

GRACE

Just try, please!

ROSALINE

(Observing)

Okay... Um...

ROSALINE looks around for something to cut it with and finds scissors. She tries to cut it but hurts GRACE instead.

ROSALINE

I'm sorry! This won't cut through!

GRACE

Well could you go and get some help? Go and get the police or something?

ROSALINE

Okay!

ROSALINE goes back over to the window but it is too high up for her.

ROSALINE

Um... There's no chance of be getting out through there.

GRACE

So you're trapped here with me?

ROSALINE

(Huffs)

CUT TO:

INT. JONAH'S BASEMENT – TUESDAY

ROSALINE is sitting in front of GRACE thinking when JONAH is heard coming down the stairs.

GRACE

Hide!

ROSALINE runs and hides again. JONAH enters and turn the light above her head on.

JONAH

(Happy)

And how're you my love?

GRACE doesn't answer

JONAH

Hey?

GRACE

I'm fine, but my wrists hurt.

JONAH

Well, let me undo them.

JONAH pulls his wire cutters out from his back pocket and clips the barbed wire.

JONAH

Better?

GRACE

… My ankles are hurting as well.

JONAH

Sorry but it's one or the other, I can't have you wondering around in here.

GRACE

Why not?

JONAH

Because you might try and find a way out or call for help again.

GRACE

I promise I wont.

JONAH

C'mon Grace, a promise isn't enough.

GRACE

You know me, I never break a promise.

JONAH

...Fine, I'll let you walk around for a little but that's it. Try anything and I'll force you back into the chair, whether you get hurt or not.

GRACE

Thank you.

JONAH clips the wire around her ankles and lets her free. GRACE stands up but falls into JONAH'S hands.

JONAH

You alright?

GRACE

I feel really faint.

JONAH

You haven't lost that much blood... Maybe you're dehydrated, let me get you some water.

JONAH sits her back down and runs out of the basement and returns with water and helps her drink it.

JONAH

Better?

GRACE

Yeah... Thanks.

JONAH

I came down here to ask whether you were ready but... I guess that you're not in a correct state. Listen, I'll water down every 2 hours from now on, okay?

GRACE

Okay, thanks.

JONAH

Right. You should probably get some sleep though, alright?

GRACE nods and JONAH leaves after putting the barbed wire back and he turns the lights off.

ROSALINE

What're we going to do?

GRACE

You need to get those wire cutters of Jonah... and soon...

ROSALINE

How?

GRACE

I've got a plan... We'll do it tomorrow...

ROSALINE

Alright well.. You best sleep.

GRACE

INT. JONAH'S KITCHEN – WEDNESDAY

JONAH is eating breakfast when he hears a police OFFICER knocking at the door.

JONAH

Oh, morning officer, can I help you?

OFFICER

Morning, do you mind if I come in for a moment?

JONAH

Of course not, come in.

CUT TO:

INT. JONAH'S BASEMENT – WEDNESDAY

GRACE is sitting there with ROSALINE beside her while they sit and listen to what's happening upstairs.

OFFICER

(Off screen)

So we've been following up on something about that night Grace went missing, and if you haven't heard yet, another girl has gone missing...

GRACE

(Realisation)

It's a police officer!

ROSALINE

What is he doing here?

GRACE

This could be our chance to get out of here!

ROSALINE

What you mean?

GRACE

If the police man hears us then he can get us out of here!

ROSALINE

No wait!

GRACE

(Shouts)

HELP!

CUT TO:

INT. JONAH'S KITCHEN – WEDNESDAY

The OFFICER hears GRACE faintly.

OFFICER

What was that?

JONAH

What was what?

OFFICER

I'm pretty sure I just heard something coming from your basement.

JONAH

I didn't hear anything?

OFFICER

… Move out the way sir.

The OFFICER goes down the steps into the basement and JONAH grabs a rolling pin as he follows.

CUT TO:

INT. JONAH'S BASEMENT – WEDNESDAY

Behind the sheet ROSALINE puts her hand over her mouth.

ROSALINE

(Whispering)

Shush, if you make a sound Jonah wont be happy, we need to stay quiet!

The OFFICER and JONAH come down.

JONAH

I don't see anything.

OFFICER

(Pointing at objects)

What's all of that?

JONAH

Oh that's just a bunch of things piled up, I have a lot of things down here.

OFFICER

Oh right.

On the other side GRACE is struggling to get out of ROSALINE'S grasp until she wriggles out.

GRACE

(Shouting)

HELP!

OFFICER pulls out his handgun.

OFFICER

JONAH hits the OFFICER over his head and he falls to the floor. JONAH sits on top of him and begins bashing in his head until he dies.

Once JONAH is finished ROSALINE runs away and JONAH walks through the sheet and slaps GRACE immediately.

JONAH

What the fuck was that? Do you know what you just made me do? Well do you? NO! Well c'mon, take a look!

JONAH drags GRACE through into the next section while she is still attached to the chair and throws her on the ground beside the dead OFFICER.

JONAH

Look at him! He's dead! Dead because of you and your fucking mouth! What did I say? Be quiet and everything will be fine but no, you had to go running your mouth and look where that got you!

GRACE remains crying while JONAH drags the body away and up the stairs.

CUT TO:

INT. JONAH'S KITCHEN – WEDNESDAY

JONAH drops the body on the kitchen floor and he goes through his pockets and finds the key to his car and goes outside. He gets in the car and drives away.

CUT TO:

INT. JONAH'S BASEMENT – WEDNESDAY

GRACE is lying on the floor crying when ROSALINE comes over to her.

ROSALINE

Are you okay?

GRACE

(Crying)

No... No I'm not, A police man is dead because of me. And Jonah is probably going to beat me when he comes back.

ROSALINE

Well don't you think it's time for the plan? Now's a better time than ever.

The door slams upstairs so ROSALINE runs back into her hiding spot and JONAH enters. He picks GRACE up and places her back where she was originally and slaps her.

JONAH

You really are a little shit! I can't believe this, two people now!

GRACE

Jonah...

JONAH

No! Don't fucking speak! I'm.. I can't listen to you right now!

GRACE

Jonah please... I'll do it.

JONAH

Do what?

GRACE

I'll let you have me...

JONAH

I don't think you do, I think you're just saying it to save yourself after what just happened!

GRACE

No Jonah that's just it... the thrill... I love it...

JONAH

GRACE

JONAH is confused but slaps GRACE as hard as he can.

I can't believe this, this is all that it took after all this time?

GRACE

INT. JONAH'S SHOWER – WEDNESDAY

GRACE is showering and JONAH is standing behind her observing her body while she washes her hair and body.

JONAH

Already you are... So tempting? But if you want to wait until then I will hold myself back until then.

GRACE doesn't answer and continues to wash her hair.

JONAH

Can I have a kiss?

GRACE turns and kisses JONAH who comes under the shower head as well.

CUT TO:

INT. JONAH'S BASEMENT – WEDNESDAY

GRACE is tied up again and JONAH is just leaving.

JONAH

I'll be down in a couple of hours.

GRACE

Okay

The two kiss then JONAH leaves. ROSALINE emerges from the furniture.

ROSALINE

You okay?

GRACE

I'm fine. Do you remember the plan?

ROSALINE

Yeah. I'll go up in a couple of minutes. Does he still have them?

GRACE

Yes but he said that he was getting changed so hopefully he'll leave them somewhere. You'd have to check his room first.

ROSALINE

(Ready to go)

Okay

GRACE

Just be careful okay? I can't imagine what he would do if he found you here.

ROSALINE

I'll be fine. I'll be down in a couple of minutes.

GRACE

Okay.

ROSALINE leaves the basement and goes up the stairs.

CUT TO:

INT. JONAH'S HOUSE – WEDNESDAY

ROSALINE opens the basement door and looks around cautiously. She exits and begins lurking around the house as quiet as she can and she goes upstairs but once in the corridor she catches a glance of JONAH in his room with his shirt off unbuttoning his pants so she jumps into cover.

Once JONAH is changed he leaves his room and heads downstairs and ROSALINE focuses on his back pockets and doesn't see them poking out so once he is gone she goes into his bedroom and checks his clothes.

ROSALINE finds the wire cutters and heads back downstairs and looks around at the doors and tries them but sees that they're locked. After checking she goes back into the basement.

CUT TO:

INT. JONAH'S BASEMENT – WEDNESDAY

ROSALINE returns to GRACE.

ROSALINE

Got um

GRACE

Great! Cut me out quickly!

ROSALINE

Before that, I'm just gonna say that there is no way out of this house.

GRACE

What? Did you try everywhere?

ROSALINE

Everywhere is locked.

GRACE

Ugh, well we'll think of something just get me out of here first.

ROSALINE

Okay

ROSALINE cuts the barbed wire around GRACE'S wrist and ankles so she is free but she remains in the chair.

GRACE

You should go return them so he doesn't suspect anything, just leave them on the kitchen counter or something he won't remember. I'll think of something while you're gone.

ROSALINE

Okay

ROSALINE leaves the basement again.

CUT TO:

INT. JONAH'S HOUSE – WEDNESDAY

ROSALINE comes out of the basement and goes back upstairs to put the wire cutters where they originally were but when she returns to go back in the basement she sees JONAH about to come her way so she quickly goes into the nearest closet and closes the door. Inside she sees the dead OFFICER and she covers her mouth while looking away.

CUT TO:

INT. JONAH'S BASEMENT – WEDNESDAY

GRACE is waiting in the basement alone.

GRACE

Oh my god what's happened... it's been over an hour now...

Footsteps are heard coming down the stairs but then JONAH comes through. JONAH pulls off the barbed wire that she put on loosely and he starts helping her up.

GRACE

Where are we going?

JONAH

I'm taking you up to my room, so we can have the comfy bed.

GRACE

Wait, I want to do it down here.

JONAH

Why?

GRACE

Because, I want it down here.

JONAH

Okay alright. I'll do all the work.

JONAH turns GRACE around so she is bending over the chair while she grabs onto the arm rest. He pulls her underwear down from under her dress so they're around her ankles and he spreads her legs and begins unbuttoning his pants. He pulls his pants down to his ankles and kisses GRACE'S neck seductively until he is stabbed from behind, falls over revealing ROSALINE behind him.

JONAH screams in agony.

GRACE

Rose!

ROSALINE goes into JONAH'S pocket and gets the house keys.

ROSALINE

C'mon, let's go!

GRACE pulls her underwear back up and runs around JONAH while he tries to grab her ankle but misses.

CUT TO:

INT. JONAH'S KITCHEN – WEDNESDAY

ROSALINE tries to put the keys in but cant find the right one and JONAH walks up the stairs and then pulls the knife out of his back.

JONAH

You little bitch! I'm going to make a fucking carpet out of you!

ROSALINE opens the door as he starts approaching and they run through and ROSALINE quickly locks it and run away. JONAH kicks the door through and stands as he watches them run away. He takes a deep breath then chases with the knife in his hand.

CUT TO:

EXT. STREET TO POLICE STATION – WEDNESDAY

ROSALINE and GRACE are continuing to run away while he chases them shortly behind until they get into the police station.

CUT TO:

INT. POLICE RECEPTION – WEDNESDAY

GRACE and ROSALINE run in and GRACE throws herself at the F.OFFICER in the room where 3 other police are.

OFFICER

What th-

GRACE

Help me, help me please!

OFFICER

What's wrong, what's happening?

JONAH walks through the doors with the bloody knife in his hand. All the police pull out their guns.

F.OFFICER

Drop your weapon!

JONAH

Grace?

JONAH looks over at GRACE with a face of disappointment while he ignores the police.

F.OFFICER

I said drop your weapon!

JONAH

We were going to be happy together, we were about to become one...

JONAH begins slowly walking towards GRACE while the officers are getting more intimidated.

OFFICER

Don't take another step otherwise we will open fire!

GRACE

(Stops)

You choose that bitch over me? Your own boyfriend?

GRACE is crying in ROSALINE'S chest while she holds her.

JONAH

Answer me Grace! Fucking look at me when I'm talking to you!

GRACE continues to cry into ROSALINE so JONAH takes another step forward and then F.OFFICER shoots him, JONAH falls down right in front of GRACE and so she cries into ROSALINE'S shoulder.

OFFICER

(Into radio)

We need an ambulance down here right now!
