PRINCIPLE PARTNER/ Producer, New Film Group, LLC (Encinitas, CA & Atlanta, GA). He holds a Ph.D in History from the University of California, Irvine. He is currently co-creating a middle-grade nonfiction series, Haunted Histories: Creepy Castles, Dark Dungeons, and Powerful Palaces, Henry Holt Publishing, MacMillan Press, Inc. And, is co-authoring the biography of Hanna Barbera artist/designer Bob Singer. He was a regularly contributing illustrator for the Los Angeles Times, Kid's Reading Corner. Ev's first picture book, The Candy Palace, was published by the MMJ Foundation Press and Second Harvest Food Bank. In partnership with MMJ Foundation, Ev has also helped create and implement the school giving programs for the Candy Palace project. Ev also the artist ambassador for the Candy Palace Charity. In addition to his current book projects, Ev has worked as a freelance concept illustrator for Jim Henson Company and has created concept covers for Scholastic Books. He served as an editor on Me and My World, as well as several other titles for the educational publisher, Teacher Created Resources. He has written articles for children’s literature publications and websites including: SCBWI Kite Tales, Children’s Book Insider, and The Reading Tub and is a featured author in the California Reader's Association and Authors Now! He was also a featured artist and co-organizer of the 5 month long Monsters in the Bookshelves, Thacher Gallery show, and USF Lit Quake program. He has appeared and talked at the Schulz museum, as a visiting artist. As a Senior Partner for EverWitt Productions, LLC, Ev lead creative and puppeteer for My Dad's Garage, a new puppet show for (6-8 year olds) and co-creator/ designer (along with Bob Singer and Rick DeWitt) of a new animated feature called The Fumppits. Along with Richard De Witt, he is now producing his first feature length film, Wilderness (shooting September 2018).

Unique traits: Producer, trans-media producer, designer and art director. PhD in history who has been an educator and lecturer; directed over 45 theatrical shows, produced feature films, TV, and documentaries, music albums.
