Ernest Collins

Ernest has a long history of managing creative teams, first with Cox Communications’ local programming operations in New Orleans from the early 1990’s-2002. As Executive Producer of Cox 10, Ernest led an award winning creative team that dominated NCTA and other national cable television programming awards programs multiple years running, receiving the top local programming award in the nation 3 years running from 1999-2001. From 2002-2010 Ernest was Executive Director, Arts & Entertainment for the City of New Orleans. His responsibilities included oversight of the Offices of Film, Music, Tourism & Arts. From 1999-2008 Ernest served as Director of Broadcast Operations for Voodoo Fest, helping to build its unrivaled library of top selling musical artists. In 2015 Ernest launched New Orleans Media Entertainment, a television and media production and distribution company. New Orleans Live is the flagship program of New Orleans Media Entertainment. With New Orleans Live Ernest will establish the vision and the roadmap for the show and procure the necessary resources to fuel growth.
