Glen Mackay

For Glen Mackay, the writing was on the wall very early on. Ever since an old-style camcorder landed in his hands at age seven, Glen assumed the role of the Mackay Family cameraman and it was clear that a career in videography and production beckoned. As the Founder and Managing Director of Directors Edge, Glen brings a wealth of experience and knowledge, as well as key skills, to all his projects.

He holds a Bachelor of Communications from the University of New England, and has many years’ experience as a freelance videographer. It is experience from the field – such his role filming for the Eastern Football League– which Glen imbues into each and every Directors Edge production. Always looking to extend himself and keep up-to-date with new developments in the industry, Glen regularly attends professional seminars and workshops, and is a proud member of the Australian Video Production Association.

Outside of videography, Glen is mad on ‘Revenge’ (the TV show, that is… he doesn’t harbour general feelings of vengeance!!), travelling the world and sky diving over the Swiss Alps. He also has a soft spot for theatre, blogging and creative writing.
