GET HIT
By Mitch Smith

GENRE: Action, Adventure, Comedy
LOGLINE:

When an extraordinarily unlucky hitman realizes he cannot complete the hit on his old college roommate, the two set out to find and stop whoever ordered the hit while simultaneously being pursued by every greedy killer-for-hire in the country. Will our odd couple terminate the contract in time or will they Get Hit?

SYNOPSIS:

Get Hit is an action/comedy in the vein of Grosse Point Blank, the Whole Nine Yards and Rush Hour. The story revolves around a hitman who isn't so much inept as he is unlucky. Every contract he gets, he finds the person he is supposed to kill already dead. They have either killed themselves, died trying to escape, or died of natural causes before he can pull the trigger, making him the only hitman who has never actually killed anyone. Still, he gets results and he gets paid. He's getting pretty fed up with this until he gets a contract for $15 million dollars, the largest contract he's ever seen and a great retirement fund. The only catch is that the target is his old college roommate, the only friend our protagonist has ever made. Regardless, he takes the contract and heads out to the small suburban area where his friend lives. When he gets a warm welcome from his friend and his friend's wife and children, he decides he can't kill them. This prompts the two to race against time to figure out who wants his friend dead. This is made much more difficult by three things: 1. His friend has become a pencil-pusher, no one of consequence. 2. Every other hitman in the country is now trying to kill his friend to collect the $15 million and 3. Our protagonist has never really killed anyone, so protecting his friend from all the experienced killers is very difficult. Can the two cancel the contract before they get hit?

I can see why everyone is interested, very clever, and sounds really funny.
