Mattia Fiumani is an italian-born director and architect. After completing his Architecture Masters in Switzerland Mattia worked as a designer and an architect before pursuing Film. He studied filmmaking at New York University and practiced as a set designer and as a director of photography in several short films, commercials and music videos.
Since his directorial debut with the short film ’27 Down’ Mattia went on shooting music videos and commercials, with year 2014 taking him to Hollywood to direct ‘Colonize the Moon’, the psychedelic collaboration with LA-rapper and hip-hop producer Busdriver (Ninja Tune).
Mattia’s passion for discovery and research has led him to live in several different continents and cities, among which Cairo, Fiji Islands, Berlin and now Lisbon. With the skills he has acquired as an architect and a natural disposition to the search, Mattia aims to constantly push himself and his collaborators towards ground-breaking ideas and radical visions.
