Vance Tucker graduated from the School of Visual Arts where he gained valuable on set experience writing, directing, and producing festival favorite short films "Two Wrongs" and "Roommates."
While working as a Development Assistant at Pressman Films after graduation, Vance was commissioned to pen a screenplay for Original City Pictures. Vance later moved on to post-production, as an Assistant Editor for "House Hunter's International", a Lead Editor for Vice Magazine/VBS.TV where he edited the short documentary "Oil of L.A" (featured on The Huffington Post), and as a Motion Capture Technician for Rockstar Games' Grand Theft Auto V. Vance has also worked in the camera and electrical department on a number of Film & Television projects including "30 Rock", "Nick & Norah’s Infinite Playlist" and "Ugly Betty."
Vance prides himself in having worked in all facets of the Film & Television industry as it has allowed him to acquire in-depth knowledge and insight into the filmmaking process. This has helped mold him into a versatile writer-director specializing in story development across all genres.
His latest feature screenplay, "Help! I’m Trapped In A Rom-Com", was awarded the bronze medal in comedy from the Page International Screenwriting Awards.
He is currently developing a new web series, a follow-up to his comedic 2012 pilot "Caught in the Act", a biting satire of the entertainment industry, and writing several screenplays.
