About Samuele

Samuele Alfani grows in Chiesanuova, a small town near Florence. The youngest of four brothers, from childhood had a passion for painting. At age fifteen he attended a photography school in Florence, convinced of wanting to pursue a career in photography.
At 19 he moved to Barcelona where he began to study theater at the "College de teatre" and "Nancy Tuñon", parallel to the photography studies two years learning acting techniques actorial, DAL- the Jacques Lecoq mask, the Stanislavsky Method method. Then he left theater, but continued with photography and cultivating parallel painting.
In 2007 he enrolled at the school "ESCAC Escola Superior de Cinema i Au- diovisuals de Catalunya" where he began his studies as a film director.
In 2009 he moved to Madrid and attended the "Escuela de Cine de Televisión Digital Madrid Septima Ars", during the studies collaborated playing the lead role of the short film Vishna Mamic: "Lucky Strike". That same year begins to enter in the madrileño film circuits.
In 2010 he returned to Barcelona and gives birth to a traveling show called "Sex in the art", a performance in which he paints human bodies live in nightclubs.
In 2011 he returned to Florence and attended the film school "Imagine". At the end of the year he directed his video art, titled "The Dark side of the Moon "in honor of the famous song by Pink Floyd.
The same year he began writing "Kerygma - the mask of appearance", a feature film on the subject of the Florentine nobility fallen and the importance of appearing in today's society.
In 2012 he comes into contact with the reality of Italian cinema by working for various productions as an assistant director, production assistant
and runner.
In 2014 he directed his first real job: a twenty-minute short film entitled "The charm of Being Julia" selected at
short film corner of the 68th Cannes Film Festival.
At the same time he continues to write stories and scripts for both films and for feature films.
These include "The sins of Eve", a short film of twenty minutes on the issue of violence against women, later turned into a feature film entitled "MARLA". In December of 2015 participates a direction master actors "Action Labs" directed by Sergio Rubini, where he met one of the stars of his third work "Rails", short-footage also twenty minutes talking about the lack of communication at ' inside the couple, set entirely in a small apartment.
Always in 2016 he directed a documentary on the floods in Florence in 1966 entitled "for you who were not there"
