MACHUPO
By Bruce Kolinski

GENRE: Thriller
LOGLINE:

Shapely 30-something independent chick trucker and hunky husband innocently upset rogue CIA agendas when a lethal virus (Machupo) is released in San Francisco, pitting an expedited cross-country, anti-viral load delivery against rogue intelligence service assets ordered to executively action this load and its drivers.

SYNOPSIS:

MAIN STORY LINE

As events unfold, we find the six o'clock news story is not the story and the privileged life of an entitled YALE Bonesman (Collins) gainfully employed in U.S. foreign service unravels piece by agonizing piece as honor and integrity go belly to belly with the dark side of international wealth, power and psychopathic obsession for eliminating democratically inspired obstacles, particularly human ones. The greedy global syndicate network end always justifies its Hegelian means.

The controlled-conflict story skeleton is carried by the background subtext of rogue deep state operatives using government agencies and private contractual assets creating FALSE FLAG events generating support and humanitarian demand for retaliation against Nigerian Rebels, aid for the Nigerian people and ultimately, for fulfillment of the syndicate's Nigerian resource harvesting agenda; diplomacy and protection for which are provided by gullible U.S. tax dollars.

This dual-action agenda is shown through a series of behind the scenes meetings (read low-cost locations) coupled with media outlets falsely describing subsequent events - together framing the struggle for survival between protagonist truck driver (Cain) and antagonist CIA officer (Collins). The point of view is intensely personal through inter and intra-conflict between Cain and Collins, where personal honor, integrity and will to live collide head-on with the conscienceless depravity of depersonalized, trans-national profit enabled by corrupt government at any cost.

Ongoing Nigerian chaos is precipitated by shadow government assets over the course of years (shown in Act I setup collage) supposedly via Nigerian Rebels, provoking violent civil unrest, a weakened economy and bloody political turmoil across the oil producing states of Nigeria - all leading to Nigerian desperation for outside help.

Following-up, a major false flag event (something planned and carried out by one group, but appearing as though carried out by another) is created in the U.S. to precipitate public support by U.S. citizens for retaliation against brutal Nigerian Rebel Terrorists with a subsequent foreign aid cover program for Nigerian citizens. Nigerian Rebels are falsely accused of the Machupo release, actually carried out – accidentally (Collins is told) - by rogue assets.

Intelligence assets were supposedly intended to carry out a very public bio-poisoning threat in San Francisco and blame it on Nigerian Rebels, but rogue elements (Collins and audience will be told), stole the weaponized virus in Palo Alto and released it in San Francisco murdering hundreds of people with demands for U.S. energy companies to leave Nigeria or die.The plan was a lie. The virus stock was never intended to actually be stolen or released or so we're told.

Prompt coordination and response by CDC and COS-AGRA, the Machupo developer in Richmond results in proactively shipping antivirus to San Francisco causing a P.R. mess the Network must now clean up. If the American public realizes Machupo antivirus exists, they will not only realize government contractors created the weaponized Machupo virus in the first place, but may become aware of their own un-solicited role in the taking of Nigerian resources. This can't happen.

Deep state order-followers take control of Nigerian natural resources by installing operatives to manage the popular foreign aid program, leveraging control of the Nigerian government and capturing the lucrative oil, natural gas and iron ore mining, processing and shipping rights.

Syndicate success requires its unseemly agenda remain unseen by the American public and will go to great lengths to protect themselves.

SECONDARY STORY LINE Thematic content and emotional impact are driven through audience identification with characters attempting to find their way within the larger context of orchestrated, dehumanizing global events. Unidentifiable, untouchable monopoly power is personalized as a trickle down series of personal choices and individual conflicts.

A Main Street trucking couple, Rachel and John Cain, transport the Machupo antivirus from Richmond to San Francisco where the antivirus is re-stolen and Rachel is murdered before it can be delivered. John Cain, however, escapes, making agent Collins look bad. Hundreds of California residents get sick and many die for lack of antivirus.

NO LOOSE ENDS. The entire Rogue Machupo Team must now be eliminated and falsely identified (found indestructible passport trick) as Nigerian Terrorists because they know the true source of weaponized Machupo virus. Tanagra (anti-virus developer) analysts must be eliminated because they are now aware of the existence of U.S. weaponized Machupo virus and antivirus. John Cain must disappear since he knows the antivirus exists and was prevented from being distributed, resulting in hundreds of San Francisco deaths.

Collins, in trouble for allowing John Cain to get away, willingly coordinates the Rogue Machupo Team hit believing they are enemy elements hating the United States; much less willingly the Tanagra analyst hit and with great reluctance goes after John Cain. Collins' punishment, to re-establish Network confidence, ordered by his handler, Alba is to get his own hands dirty executing the Cain hit himself. Collins, now morally uncertain, doubts whether his murder of an innocent citizen is justifiable in any kind of public interest - yet doesn't wish to abandon Bonesmen' loyalty to principles Alba persuasively maintains are important and critical for the good of the United States and its allies? Collins manages to kidnap Cain's daughter as leverage against Cain - at which point Cain abandons all faith in the system and begins hunting Collins.

OVERALL We end up in a personal life and death struggle, Cain versus Collins, hunted hunting hunter, juxtaposed beneath a vicious geopolitical power struggle; Nigeria versus global syndicate, for the resources of a nation and the souls of two people.

The audience will see events from a 3rd person, nearly omniscient view as individual citizens are caught up and used in this geopolitical power play, where Collins is the reluctant, though persistent hunter and Cain, the unwilling hunted - two pawns trapped in conflict for reasons they can't even see.

The sequel or possible episodic series, Eye of Cain, as you might imagine is Cain, now a feral hunting animal, erasing, one by one, Elite dynastic family members he believes responsible for inflicting global pain via their greedy, never-ending pursuit of blood money.

NOTE TO WRITER: Structure this story on a personal level so the audience sees, feels, and identifies with events unfolding through Collins and the Cains, not realizing until the very end as Collins realizes himself, as a compartmentalized insider, what he thought was the justified play – was just a play setting up another play leading to the final, completely evil play, each more wantonly vicious than the last - all too late for his own redemption- at least in John Cain's view.

In the end, Cain having brutally lost his wife and daughter to the Network, beats Collins to death and... in so doing, sets up the revenge sequel (or sequels), EYE OF CAIN.

Note:It turns out the accidental release of Machupo virus, which Collins is to clean up after – is in fact not accidental at all, but was released intentionally, resulting in hundreds of California deaths intended to trigger a full on war with Russia, the original Machupo developer. In other words, Collins is not heroically cleaning up after an accident to prevent more lives being unnecessarily lost, but is in fact covertly, though he doesn’t know it; helping further the start of yet another, very profitable Banking Cartel War for which all sides require financing.
