About Terence

Terence Bernie Hines

Award winning Director, writer and actor Terence Bernie Hines has shared the stage and or screen with the great ones ranging from Meryl Streep, Maat Damon and Ed Asner, to Ben Stiller, Kristen Wiig and Shirley MaClaine and Beau Bridges.

He recently wrote and directed "Mauler" his horror feature film debut that has gotten rave reviews thus far. As an actor, Terence won awards as Best Actor and also as Best Supporting Actor at the 2019 London SOHO Film Festival. He has appeared in close to 100 national and international tv commercials and over a dozen tv show. He has been in 19 feature films and has recurred on the tv show “Adam Ruins Everything” and in pre-production on another film.

As a screenwriter and producer, Terence has completed 4 short films. He won 2 film festivals in 2017 for best short film and best music video. He has a comedy pilot “3 Divorcées and a Virgin” that is complete and is currently preparing for his co-directorial feature debut.

Terence was born and raised in Detroit's notoriously tough west side. At the age of 14 he was attacked by a neighborhood gang and wound up flat-lining on the hospital table. Humor had its hand in his recovery and has since remained an integral part of his life.

As an adult, Terence relocated to Los Angeles where he fortuitously met actor and filmmaker Benjamin Koldyke who cast him in his short "Red Zone." A year later, Terence came home to a message on his answering machine from director Peter Farrelly saying he'd seen him in "Red Zone" and thought he'd be perfect for the movie he and his brother were doing. Terence promptly returned the call, nailed the audition and, before he knew it, found himself on set with Oscar alums Matt Damon, Greg Kinnear, Cher and Meryl Streep. He's since been seen in dozens of film and television roles.

Terence broke onto the scene in the Farrelly Brothers' "Stuck on You." He's been seen on the small screen in such shows as "It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia", "ER", " "My Name is Earl," and "Raising Hope." He lent his comedic skills to the YouTube sensation "Jedi Gym" and has been featured in a slew of national and international commercials for such iconic brands as Disneyland, Sprint, Nissan and Southwest Airlines and Direct TV. His famous "I Feel Great!" Nutrigrain commercial has been downloaded well over a million times on YouTube.

Ruth's only creative outlet is playing her cello in the background of a series of popular YouTube videos featuring Errol, an egotistical ventriloquist. Errol lords over a community of loyal ventriloquists who proudly (and literally) wear their allegiance to their "art"; their dummies are strapped across their torsos like badass bandoleros. Ever the opportunist and desperate for money, Ruth finds herself in a position to "steal" the body of President James Buchanan. She does so, hoping to ransom him for a nice windfall -- but she's surprised to discover that no one seems particularly interested in ...
