James R Byrne

James Byrne has an MFA from The School of the Arts Institute of Chicago and currently live and works in Saint Paul. His screenwriting awards include the McKnight Artists Fellowship for Screenwriting and the Barry Morrow Screenwriting Fellowship. His recent screenplay "Things to Do Before Leaving" (comedy) won Best Screenplay in the 2017 Hollywood Verge Film Awards, Official Selection in the 2017 Catalina Film Festival, and Third Place (drama) in the 2017 Los Angeles Screenplay Contest. Another recent screenplay "Circled in Red" (drama) placed as a Finalist in the 2017 Hollywood Hills Screenplay Competition.
