A young singer is the target prize between two rival moguls in the music business as he struggles not to drown in his own ambition and the bright lights of superstardom.

SYNOPSIS:

PULSE is Asia's answer to acclaimed FOX tv series "Empire". Set in the late 90s against the backdrop of Hong Kong returning to China, the main story revolves around a young singer who leaves his native state of Sabah, Malaysia for the very first time to participate in a talent competition in the city of Kuala Lumpur. He wowed the judges with his vocals and charmed the producers with his innocence. At the crux of the competition is a local music kingpin who is protecting his turf and two ruthless brothers from Hong Kong who are trying to muscle their way into the territory. The young singer and eventual winner of the competition inadvertently becomes entangled in the tug of war between the rival moguls.
