About Steve

I'm a Chicago native, a USC Film School alumnus, and a proud member of the WGA who is now working as a writer/director in Los Angeles.

My latest feature screenplay "Harry's All-Night Hamburgers" is a sci-fi adventure based on a Hugo award winning short story. It sold to Warner Bros with Oscar nominated producer Andrew Lazar and Mad Chance Productions attached. I was recently hired to adapt Paul Tremblay's new horror novel "The Cabin at the End of the World" for FilmNation ("Arrival" "The King's Speech"). Before that, my screenplay "Orb" was voted onto the 2016 Black List, Hit List, and # 1 on the Blood List (black list for genre scripts). My recent short film "Monsters" was named a Vimeo Staff Pick and has screened in over 100 film festivals around the world, winning 43 awards including Best Short Film at the Comic-Con International Film Festival. It serves as a proof of concept for my feature film project, "Twisted Avenue," which I am currently raising financing for.

Currently, I have film and TV projects in active development with Warner Bros, FilmNation, and Global Road. Additionally, I've previously written and developed projects with Imagine Entertainment, Davis Entertainment, Gran Via Productions, and others.

I'm represented by APA and Ziffren Brittenham LLP.
