Don Bapst (donbapst.com) is a filmmaker, screenwriter, novelist and playwright. His narrative shorts walk the edge between drama and thriller, while his documentary essays range from classic narratives to video poems. His short “Good Grief” was nominated for best documentary at the SoCal Creative and Innovative Film Festival. Winner of the 2010 award for Best Up and Coming Toronto Filmmaker at the Inside Out Film Festival, Bapst recently optioned a feature length script to LeoMark Studios in Los Angeles. Born in Chicago, Bapst has lived in Paris, London, New York, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Montreal, Toronto, and Ouagadougou and currently resides in Phoenix, where he teaches creative writing and screenwriting.
