Anita Mayeaux

I am a 48 year old mother of 5 and grandmother of 2. I graduated from The University of New Orleans on May 15, 2015 with my BA in Film, Theatre and Communications with a minor in History. I have been acting on stage since I was 9 years old and in films since 2013. I have also worked as a producer, director, caterer, production assistant and actress on several graduate student films as well as Hollywood feature films. I have also dabbled in some voice over work and would love to pursue that further in the near future. My passion is acting but I absolutely love being a part of the filmmaking process as well. Being on set and watching a film come together or assisting in the process gives me a feeling of accomplishment at the end of the day. My joy comes in knowing that my success in the film industry has inspired so many of my friends and family to pursue their dreams. My persistence in getting my degree and changing my career at my age, has proven to my children as well as everyone that I know, that you are never too old to pursue your dreams and make them come true!
