A single mother, desperately seeking soul mate, gets involved with a handsome, popular but troubled actor. They form a toxic relationship and she risks losing custody of her son.

SYNOPSIS:

Michelle is a single mother who relentlessly pursues her career in the film industry while desperately looking for a soul mate. After a couple of blind dates turned into disasters, she lands on her feet big time – at least so it seems. She’s bedded by a handsome actor, Daniel Topolewski, who’s on the way to stardom. Now all the injustice inflicted by Michelle’s ex-husband is more bearable as she can share her frustration – Daniel’s family life is also problematic.Michelle doesn’t expect much commitment from Daniel but surely it’s worth a try.

Things turn crazy when Daniel’s daughter decides to sell a story to tabloid press, a story painting him in the worst possible light. It’s a shock for Michelle to find her part-time lover with cut wrists. A strong, toxic bond is formed as she’s trying to help him. They discover they both share the same life-changing experience - clinical depression. They become the ultimate soul mates, but Michelle is dragged down into the world of boozing and reckless behaviour, which isn’t compatible with parenthood.

Michelle’s ex steps in, trying to deny Michelle contact with her child. Just as it seems she will have to decide between Daniel and her son, Daniel gets a second round of bad press. This pushes him over the edge and his second attempt at suicide is successful.

Michelle faces the aftermath as a strong, independent woman. After all, her son is the most important thing in her life.
