I was born and grew up in Dublin. I have lived in Spain (Seville), The Czech Republic (Prague) and Austria (Vienna). I have a longstanding interest in visual and performance arts.
After acquiring an BA Hons degree in English and History from University College Dublin I began studying filmmaking, initially at Filmbase, Dublin and then at the Prague College of Further Education (PCFE) in the Czech Republic. I was awarded a part-scholarship and an Arts Council ‘Professional Development and Training Award’ to help finance my study in Prague.
I have written and directed short films, documentary work and commercial video content. I have experience working in the film industry as an assistant editor. I have extensive Film & Community experience having worked as a facilitator and tutor in Dublin communities such as Fatima, Rialto and Clondalkin.
I am both Mac and PC proficient. I have a working knowledge of Final Cut Pro, Avid, Adobe After Effects, Encore, Illustrator and Photoshop. I also have web design experience (HTML, CSS, Dreamweaver and Fireworks).
