About Richard
Born and raised in New York, I'm the author of several spec screenplays, with a particular focus on the fantasy, science-fiction and supernatural genres. My inspiration is drawn from many different sources, but most prominently the works of Steven Spielberg, George Lucas and John Carpenter. I grew up an avid comic book and fantasy fiction reader, so world-building comes naturally to me as an independent creator.
In recent years, my screenplays have gained recognition in several writing contests. Having won or placed as a finalist in such competitions as Creative World, StoryPros, ScreenCraft, CineStory and the Austin Film Festival. My first co-writing effort, "Harker: The Awakening" -- an independent Sci-Fi feature -- is currently available on Amazon.
As my writing continues to evolve and my portfolio expands, I'm eager to collaborate with other talented creators in the film industry. I absolutely love the writing process, and I'm excited at every new project that I undertake. I pride myself on being a versatile writer, with the skills to develop content within multiple genres and platforms. My goal is to consistently produce diverse, character-driven stories with a sense of adventure, humor and heart. I'm also very flexible in writing budget-specific material.
Currently, as I develop new projects, I have two scripts in development with 919 Entertainment, and I've worked as a writer-for-hire for producers across the country. I look forward to meeting you on this journey ...
