While camping in the TN mountains a by the book college freshmen and her friends mistakenly release a soul stealing demon. In order to save them and herself; she must re-entomb him before sunrise.

SYNOPSIS:

Sequoia Duncan a by the book college freshmen is talked into skipping her monthly visit home to go camping with her friends. They have it all planned out to camp in the Smokey Mountains back country, what they did not tell her is that this is a newly opened section. With a mild nudge from her Gran, Sequoia is reminded to stay alert and remember what she was taught about the old ways. At the time it does not seem to make sense, but she agrees with her Gran and agrees to continue on the camping trip with her friends.

The group pressures her on why she really goes home the same day every month. She tells them it is something that her family has always done, something about keeping the Wraith at bay, it is like the Irish version of the boogeyman. Yes, her family is weird, which is why she attends college two thousand miles away.

The road becomes to narrow for the van, begrudgingly they unload and continue to their destination via heal toe express, along the way they find the path blocked by a large grove of thistle bushes not native to the area. Once they are through the thistles, they encounter a Celtic cross covered in an unknown vine with closed buds. Further up the path they go and are once again stopped, but this time by a long tall stone wall covered in the same vine as the cross.

Sequoia stops them from going beyond the wall. She sees something the rest do not and to prove she is not crazy she steps beyond the wall, which causes the blooms to grow bright red. This terrifies the group and they all agree to wait till mornings light before exploring further. Only after everyone goes to bed, one decides he cannot wait until morning to see what is on the other side.

While on the other side of the wall, they realize they are not alone and are being hunted by something or someone. When Sequoia stumbles on a way to communicate with her family she learns just how bad the situation truly is, unfortunately, she is now the only one who can stop it and save her friends. Gran tells her that she only has until sunrise to put the Wraith back or risk him being unleashed into the world again to cause turmoil and despair.

After losing all but one of her friends to the Wraith, Sequoia finally figures out how to defeat him and does. At the final credits one of the friends she thought she lost crashes out from one of the buildings and asks if they can please leave this place.
