More specifically, on the one black and white tv in his mountaintop village, by a comedian doing an offensive depiction of hilltribes. He sets off to the big city of Chiang Mai to inform the comedian that what he’s doing is offensive. Before he knows it the famous comedian has sent him on a path to join a comedy group in the even bigger city of Bangkok so that he can show the world how smart and compassionate hilltribe people really are. He makes a splash, almost immediately becoming the star of his group and gaining work on tv and in film. With everyone wondering what big plans he has, he quietly wishes them well and heads back home, having already accomplished what he set out to do.
