Robert S. Fingerman, CPA, - is the founder & president of Independent Films Production Consultants, Inc., (IFPC) which provides a wide range of financial consulting, accounting & tax services to the motion picture, recording & media industries.
IFPC also provides management and consulting services to artists, film producers, financiers, film funds, studios, distributors, directors, government film agencies, screenplay writers and playwright authors, as well as providing on-site film production accounting. The firm also consults filmmakers on all the various state, federal & international film production tax incentives, including filings and tax preparation.
He has served as the chairman of the Entertainment & Sports Committee of the NYS Society of CPA. He serves as advisor to several non-profit organizations, such as “Artfully Aware”, “The World Consciousness Center”, “The Peter Glenville Foundation” & “Victims Information Bureau (VIBS)”.
He is a long standing member of The AICPA, the NY Society of CPA, Entertainment & Sports Committee, and the Industry Oversight Committee.
He is a frequent panel participant at the Sundance Film Festival, American Film Market (AFM), TriBeca Film Festival, Hampton Film Festival, Film Florida Annual Conference, University of Buffalo Entertainment Symposium (UB Coast to Coast), NYSSCPA Entertainment and Sports Annual Conference and Winston Baker Tribeca Film Forum East.
He has lectured at several universities regarding the financial aspects of independent film financing and production. He is a guest lecturer at the New York University Tisch Film School & St. John's University Business School.
