Australian Producer, Indra Jane Bartona, currently based in Los Angeles has had a passion for the entertainment business from as far back as she can remember when classes in singing, song writing, ballet and acting took center stage in her life.
Indra developed her talent for producing using the ‘tried and true’ ‘hands-on’ production approach when she created her original Music Show ‘MPump’ for Cable TV Channel 31 Sydney.
After graduating from Griffith University with a Bachelor in Business, Indra temporarily put aside her entertainment production hat and set her sights on an international business career that took her to Sydney, London, Washington D.C. and Los Angeles as the project manager for various multi-national companies such as B.A.E. Systems London, Optus Communications Sydney and for Cable & Wireless London & U.S.
But the pull of the entertainment industry once again took hold and producing has become a full-time career. After completing a season of ‘Music Pump Unsigned’ for the Internet and producing her own short film ‘The Set-Up” that won awards at The Las Vegas International Film Festival. Indra is busy forging relationships with financiers and bankers to fund the slate of films she is developing.
At the present time she has options on a number of scripts ranging through Supernatural Thriller to Comedy, Music, Family and Cultural Cross-Over features, all with varying budgets and is actively looking for distribution and finance for the Supernatural Thriller and two comedies that are camera ready.
Indra has formed a new company, Planet 9 Pictures based in Los Angeles and is planning for a slate of films to roll out each year with name directors attached to many upcoming projects.
