About Ulysses

Ulysses E. Campbell demonstrated a talent for performing, illustration and filmmaking as a teenager growing up in New Jersey. He collaborated with friends on the production of a series of comedic short films that screened at comic book and science fiction conventions in New York City. These films gained notoriety that led to Ulysses’ appearance on the BBC-TV documentary program, Arena, and a screening for DC Comics executives and Superman creator’s Jerry Siegel and Joe Shuster at the 40th birthday party of the legendary comic book character. Ulysses also won awards as a comic and science fiction convention costumer.

Ulysses attended Howard University and went on to establish a successful career in Commercial Real Estate Management. However, his interest in film and television never waned. Seeking an outlet for these creative passions finally led Ulysses to become a community media producer at The Public Access Corporation of DC (DCTV) in 2005. Since then he has created, marketed and assisted in the creation of a variety of television programming. Ulysses has also provided the voice for TV, radio commercials, industrials and independent productions. As an actor he has appeared in films and on television including VEEP, House of Cards, Homeland, Madame Secretary, Scandal, Nightmare Next Door and Captain America: The Winter Soldier. Ulysses also hosts Arlington in the Morning the drive time radio show on WERA 96.7 FM in Arlington, VA.

Ulysses was elected in 2016 to Advisory Neighborhood Commission 4C in the District of Columbia where he represents approximately 2,500 residents in Single Member District 03. Ulysses also serves as Treasurer of the Commission. He is a member of the Screen Actors Guild/American Federation of Television and Radio Artists. He has also served on the Board of Directors for Arlington Independent Media since 2014. Ulysses continues to develop television and radio programming and short films that target local and national markets.
