Kate Smith

In 1984, I was born & raised in the Isle of Man. From an early age I was always creative & very interested in the arts. I started working as a makeup trainee on various film productions in the Isle of Man, when I was in my early teens.
As I have a natural flare & passion for hair & makeup, I decided to build upon this by training at the 'Christine Blundell Makeup Academy' in Camden London .
This course taught me the basics of all I would need to know to help me build upon my skills & confidence so I could work in the industry I love.

Since then I have worked in Film, TV & Theatre, Bridal & Fashion, both in the UK & the Isle of Man.
I now live in Perth, Western Australia, where my aim is to continue working in the Film, TV & Theatre, but I also wish to work in more depth within the Fashion & Editorial Industry. I want to continue to build upon my skills & learn as much as I can, as I just love how diverse, creative & sometimes eccentric a makeup artist can be!
