By Pat Branch

GENRE: Action, Adventure, Comedy
LOGLINE: A freshly graduated college track star is accidentally transformed into a very strong, bullet proof superhero who can fly and see through things when she wears those x-ray gogs you can buy on the back of comic books.

SYNOPSIS:

Vanessa Gains drives a YUGO, has just finished a four-year UCLA track scholarship and has a journalism degree to prove it. She starts work at KVLA-TV, LA’s #1 local news station, on Monday. It’s the Saturday morning before and she’s getting her hair done. It’s raining. Stormy. Thunderclaps. Lightening. A bolt hits the beauty shop as her hairdresser's electric curling iron adds finishing touches. Knocks the power out and shocks Vanessa’s black hair white, her brown eyes ice blue. Very soon, it’s also obvious that she runs way faster than her personal best, is unusually strong, has bulletproof skin, and can see through things with those x-ray gogs sold on the last page of vintage comic books. Then-YIKES!-she realizes that she can fly. Victor Crosius, is a cocky serial bank robber turned captured and bitter kidnapper/accidental murderer. His bumbling assistants, George and Robert, go about raising illegal capital to assist Pinto, a cosmetically challenged bomb expert who resembles the horse and drives many versions of the car. She even tries to blow Victor’s way out of the courthouse during his right to a speedy trial. Meanwhile, Vanessa lives as any young woman in this sudden and unexpected role must live. She dons subtle disguise, dates a hunky station cameraman, Jaime, and uses her entry-level broadcast news position to get the jump on the everyday mishap and routine tyrant, villain or mayhem maker in her City of Angels.
