Cinematographer Peter Bonilla specializes in television documentaries; he is a U.S./Canada dual citizen and is based in West Hollywood, CA. With over 30 years of professional experience and total fluency in French and Spanish, he has travelled the world extensively. After graduating from UCLA Film School (cum Laude) he worked at the National Film Board of Canada and later as a camera assistant to some of the top cinematographers in New York. As a cameraman, Peter has had the good fortune of shooting numerous prestigious television shows; his credits for PBS NOVA include “Saved by the Sun,” “Battle of the X Planes,” “Secret Intelligence,” and most recently “NOVA: Ultimate Mars Challenge” which will air on PBS in November 2012. He also worked on the film ”Survivors of the Holocaust,” winner of two national Emmy Awards. In addition to documentaries, his credits include music videos, TV commercials, PSAs, corporate and independent film projects.
