I began screenwriting in 2006 as a hobby and found that I picked up on it very quickly. I became an intern for Abbott Management in 2008 and soon moved up to Creative Development.
I spent a year after that writing for hire on assignments that spanned nearly every genre. In 2012 I returned to school for my MFA in Creative Writing at Full Sail University in order to sharpen my skills and boost my confidence as a screenwriter.
I love to write because there are no limits. All it takes is a finite space of time and I can create a story from infinite possibilities. Writers who have influenced me include Judy Blume, Jude Deveraux, V.C. Andrews, Sophia Stewart, Octavia Butler, Stephanie Meyer, Charlaine Harris, Joss Whedon, William Nicholson, Shonda Rhimes, Quentin Tarantino, Tyler Perry, Mike Kelley, and J.J. Abrams... just to name a few.
I am currently self published as Rasheedah Prioleau: www.rasheedahprioleau.com
In the next ten years I hope to have at least three major motion picture credits and create at least one successful original drama series.
